Was it just me or did his kicking seem to be even worse than normal? He wasnt even getting it to the half way line. He then stopped kicking it all togehter and started to throw it out. I wonder if he is stil injured?

Could be that he still isnt 100% or is just worried about pulling something. I was just glad to see him back as he gives me much more confidence than carlo

I don't really care if he uses his cock instead of kicking it out, he's fucking miles better than cudicini.

Yeah, his kicking was weak, and it took an alarmingly long time for our team (and Crouch especially) to realise his kicks were not reaching the halfway line.

Hopefully he gets better at it the more training he has

I donm't care about the kicking when he can throw that far on a break. Pass out to a defender for all I care

I got a nice warm fuzzy feeling when I saw Gomes was in goal on Wednesday. Glad he's back no matter how shite the kicking.

Great keeper sh1t kicking. I did say to my mate on weds that he couldnt even kick it to the half way line. Got to be the injury or him worrying about it.

He did seem to be able to throw it further, not much good on a goal kick.

Good to see him back, he was loving the you can sleep with my wife song just before the second half kicked off.

Was probably worried about his injury not being 100% gone. Dodgy kicking but once he got a few chances to throw it, the distribution was much better. He seemed to be trying to kick it at maybe 60-70% power compared to usual.

He's just had a groin injury, is he going to go all out on his kicking?

We know that on his day he kicks the ball far enough, but with those throws, who cares.

Yeah, my #1 concern with the keeper is his kicking. I'd actually prefer he play/throw it out to his defenders, unless he spots something and tries to get a quick ball up the field.

We looked much more solid at the back. In part due to Ledley being back and us having 2 CBs again but Gomes was a huge part of that too. Everyone seemed more relaxed in the back 5.

i think the ball was very heavy due to the rain....that might have been it.

I agree he makes our defence look alot mmore stable. Cudo doesnt really offer that. Maybe its his height. Great shot stopper but not very commanding. i am happy to see Gomes back. But his kicking is cack. injury or no injury. Now I havent seen him take a swipe with his cock yet?? Got to be worth a try?
