Just had a look back at our home record in the 16-17 season and as we all know we were undefeated with 17 wins and 2 draws. We managed 13 clean sheets, scoring 47 and conceding just 9. Add the 2 games so far this season and our home record reads 21-19-2-0, scored 53, conceded 9. That means we've taken 59pts from a possible 63. That is surely the best in the league over that time?

Obviously we have had the Wembley period in between but it shows how much we have lost by not having real home fixtures and also how amazingly well we have done to remain competitive.

We really have come a long way as a club and if we manage to make the top 4 again and add to the squad in the summer, I honestly believe that we will be close to finally winning the league.

Yeah it's very impressive, shame about Wembley but the stadium had to be built at some point.

It's a very VERY small sample size for games in our 'new' home to be adding onto our old home record, nevertheless, I feel it's a manufactured stat which for me doesn't hold much weight. But as the OP says, the future looks bright.

Aren't Liverpool unbeaten in 38 at Anfield in the league?

Yes, they are likely to match our final season at the lane, having drawn twice and with Huddersfield and Wolves left to visit.

City have won 16 and lost one of their home games. Both teams have scored more than we did sadly (but conceded more). So City are on course to win 18 home games if they can get past us and Leicester. That would be a better return than last season!

Chelsea hold the unbeaten home record at 86 (!). They and Manchester Utd have both won 18 home games in a single season. Something for us to aim at next season :)

This won't count for anything though because we've lost at Wembley a few times since then which was still technically our home.
