Our Tuesday rivals Real Madrid have just lost at home to lowly Sporting Gijon 0-1 EekEekEek

The last time Mourinho lost a league game at home was in February 2002
It was the first time this season that Mourinho didn't get 3 points at home in any competition.

Crazy!

Not looking good for us on Tuesday with such an embarrassing result for Mourinho and the team

Not sure whether it's a bad thing, but it might show where Real Madrid's priorities lie. I would take a narrow defeat at the Bernabeu anyway, we'll show them how to play football back at The Lane.

I have images of a similar thread on a Real Madrid forum entitled 'El Holy Crapo (Tottenham Hotspur)' Our Tuesday rivals Tottenham Hotspur have just drawn away to lowly Wigan.

Stop Oezil and we will stop Madrid. And individually their defence is great but have made mistakes. Carvalho is slow, Pepe is a beast but can be rash as can Ramos and Marcelo is injured I heard?

Great result, takes their invincibility, or should I say Mourinho's, away. We fired blanks today so I expect us to score at least at the Bernabeau

More worryingly was the fact that Higuain came on as a substitute.

Spurs should look to exploit the space behind centre backs. Clearly their main weakness. If fit, Crouch, Lennon and Defoe should start. No vdv
I don't agree with Defoe starting but he has a point, Has Rafa started on the bench this season when fit?

I watched the game and RM were slow and cumbersome, the movement was poor and they looked blunt.

I expect a different Real Madrid on Tuesday though, not least because this defeat will have really hurt Mourinho's pride. He will insist on a performance on Tuesday night and will have them set up to accommodate the Premiership methodology of European football.

This result certainly must have benefited Bara more than Spurs. Often when big teams win they find extra motivation in their next game - and I am sure Jose won't tolerate another Real performance like that.
It looked to me that the Real players had their mind at the CL game. And all the talk about Ronaldo....well, as pointed out above, Ozil is their motor really; he's had an excellent season this season.

That is the result that ends his 150 home game unbeaten run, and begins is 150 home defeats in a row. Well, two on the trot, at least

Like being incapable of scoring against even the worst of opposition? I'm sure they're crapping themselves already.:-|

Are you talking about Spurs Vs Wigan, or Real Madrid vs Sporting Gijon?? It works both ways

We all know Spurs in Europe is a completely different side
