<3 Mayweather GOAT

He tweeted the other day that he's been a world champion continuously since 1997 - pure beast.

On another note, the other GOAT S.O.G hasn't fought since he destroyed Chad Dawson 12 months ago, when is he fighting next?

HBO have been rejecting the fights that Ward wants - he seems to be trying to pick bums, and wasnt interested in fighting outside of Oakland, or fighting Froch. It would be interesting to see him meet in the middle at maybe 164lbs and fight GGG or Martinez. I remember reading an article where he said he would be willing to drop to 160lb to fight floyd . . .

Haye all the way, Fury is taking a set up in class for this one and will end up feeling more violated than at a prostate examination

Haye has the same look about him pre fight that he had before the Audley and Chisora fights

One where he knows the fight hype is bigger than the actual fight itself

He's a class above all 3 of these guys and he will dispatch Fury with similar ease because he's simply too good for him, its not a competitive fight it reminds me of the Sam Jackson film THE GREAT WHITE HYPE when a non fight is being blown up to be competitive to make money but in reality its just a walk over fight for the champ

The most noticeable things Fury has done is run his mouth and punched himself in the face during a fight. He's too slow for Haye and will get picked apart and blasted out of sight

I actually quite like Fury and I find him entertaining but he has about as much chance of beating Haye as he would have of beating Cain Velasques in an MMA fight (which he's also been claiming) in my opinion

What a surprise, a David Haye injury.

Shouldn't his sparring sessions be lighter than that in the week leading to a match?

pre fight injuries are one of the most frustrating aspects of boxing - behind fights that should happen not happening or not happening when they should happen

Fury would havd surprised in this fight. I believe Fury would have stopped or comfortably out pointed him. Much is made that he can be got at but he has great heart and will to win too. Far better boxer than given credit for. Can switch to southpaw with ease. He missed his uncle's calming advice against Cunningham because he was denied an American visa.

Yea you're right - Fury's punches are so fast and unpredictable even he can't see them coming

So what chance would Haye have had?

I've seen that before shea. That was a will back. Fury has stepped up his professional attitude and quality of training considerably since then. I am not dissing David Haye as a fighter. I always like him. As a world champion at two weights he is due considerable respect. I based my opinion on Haye being the far hungrier fighter. Haye has been there and done it. Fury would have had his work cut out in the opening few rounds but if he had come through those rounds I believe this is where Fury's hunger, size and power would have come to the fore. Haye has been virtually inactive for two years, bar his few rounds against Chisora. Fury wkuld have used his power and Haye's diminishing belief to stop him.

Gutted this is off, hopefully they can get a new date sorted ASAP. Maybe Fury could fight Wilder in the meantime.

Most fighters will stop heavy sparring about a week out from the fight, some might leave it as late as 5 days.

Sparring is so key. Can't be replicated. The ultimate training for sharpness in general. Haye has always sparred hard too ( read the stories of him going across to the States early in his career and walking in gyms and basically sparring all comers. There is a classic story of him meeting Audley over there when Harrison was the next big thing and hanging around Lennox Lewis etc )

The cut will keep him out for three months at least I would have thought. The fight is a non-starter now anyway according to Peter Fury. They are going in a different direction apparently...wise choice if they want to keep Tyson undefeated. Haye would have knocked him out.

As for him getting a shellacking in sparring. Cuts can happen at any point. Don't suggest anyone was getting the better of the exchange. Its a single shot, clash of heads etc

I think Fury should get in with Thompson now if he is looking for a keep busy right. Would be a good indicator to what level he is at

So pissed off. I can't get refunded for my hotel.

Eventim won't be able to take any action till they know what's going on with the promoters.

Was so looking forward to this fight as a stag do for my best mate.

Very disappointed with the whole affair.

Tony Bellew said tonight on Saturday fight night that he knows of US based world class fighters who spar up to 3 days before their fights so it's common enough. He didn't give the names of who he was talking about though.

I meant to quote SugarRay in on this as well.

Agree that Fury should still have a fight next weekend or soon anyway, keep himself active.

So where does Haye go from here? Another setback and no closer to fighting Vitali.
