Yes I miss football and other sports too.

The weekend now feels very weird and there's nothing to plan my day around.

I have no excuse now to finish a project I've been lazy about but I miss football a lot.

Haven't really thought about football. Just doesn't seem important. Even a couple of Liverpool supporters I work(ed) with said the same.

A million people signing on last week (and I'm in the queue behind them). 800,000 businesses close to going bust. I don't miss it. I don't even think about it.

The break is a relief in all honesty. Just goes to show how worked up we all get.

Tell you what though, this really puts things in perspective.

It's disgusting the money in football, it really is, when you look at all the hard working people out there making life changing contributions to society at the moment.

So many 'real life' heroes out there who won't even see a fraction of what some of these lot earn in a week.

Football needs to come crashing back down to earth with more and more starting to resent the obscene money that drives it.

This season had been so unenjoyable I haven’t really missed it much at all, to be honest.

I haven’t felt this disconnected from the club for a long time. I can’t believe it was only a year ago I was sat in the new stadium for the opening match, excited at seeing players I revered, led by a man I loved and respected in a beautiful new venue.

Crazy how quickly things can change.

Not really. Doesn't help that watching us the last 18months has been like sticking pins in your testicles. Probably :cautious:

Basically this. As much as it pains me to say it, watching Spurs had become a real chore at times. It's not that I'm just a fair weather fan, I've supported us through all kinds of shit times, but at the moment we just have so many players who look like they're dialing it in and we play such dreary football that even if we were winning games it wouldn't be all that fun to watch.

If we'd been playing good football and the team looked like they even gave a shit then I'm sure I'd miss it a lot more. But as it stands it's been nice to not have to put up with Mourinho and his nonsense or a while

I havnt missed watching spurs at all, apart from the odd game over the past 14 months most of it has been turgid to watch and if I didn't support spurs I would have switched off most games because they weren't worth watching.

The one thing about all of what's happening though is just now out of touch with reality football / premier League. They really do live in this bubble. It's disgusting that some clubs are considering options such as playing out the season in China or the Midlands etc how desperate are they where options like that are actually being talked about with no consideration for the non playing staff who will be required to move there and won't be put up in the same level of accomodation as the players / management or looked after the same way etc it doesn't take the fans into consideration at all especially the season ticket holders who are the heart and soul of the club.
Clubs like ours using the UK scheme for non playing staff while players, manager and upper management all stay on wages that are even more grotesque now than they have ever been.

Ok I'm no longer 14 anymore so football is no longer the most important thing in my life and doesn't take up as much time as it used to 20 years ago but this break has allowed time to step back and actually look at football as a whole and what I see is pretty unpalatable so one thing's for sure I won't be consuming as much football when football finally restarts.

It's been fantastic for me. I was suffering from a football burnout, so this was a much needed break for me. Hopeful that they void the entire season as well.

Weird one, I haven’t missed this season in the slightest, but I have missed playing, watching my kids and doing all the social aspects around football - watching/training etc

I miss watching football, not playing it as I'm 81 , but there is an upside. I live in a fairly rural area of Worcestershire (born and bred Londoner, though) and I have stepped up my exercise from a gentle jog of 1 mile to a daily 4.5 mile jog/brisk walk, providing it's not peeing down with rain. I felt reasonably fit before this, but now I have really noticed the difference. Plus I no longer feel guilty when I sit down and watch the tv.

Fully agree!

I was just starting too miss football and was looking forward to it coming back and seeing what Jose can do with this squad now its nearly fully fit had some time to rest and also more importantly he has had time to work with them on the training ground.

However After Daniel Levy statement this week it has brought back all the feelings I was having towards the football and has increased that feeling disconnect with the club I have felt this year.

I haven't missed it that much, but living on my own it was one of the few things I looked forward to at the weekend.

I agree, but the only way that will happen is if we stop paying to watch football. It will be interesting to see how many people do that once this is all over. Possibly a debate for another thread though.

Sky Sports could find themselves in trouble. That means EPL could find itself in trouble. People will see what Sky costs and just say fuck it, I can manage without it.

If sky disappeared there’s probably another 3/4 broadcasters who’d be offering millions/ billions of £ for the premier league broadcasting rights.

I'm not sure we will see the same amounts spent. Clubs will be in difficulties and not in a strong bargaining position as fans will have other priorities. DL has already intimidated this, I think he knows what's coming.

I absolutely miss footy, in all its forms.

Football has been a huge part of my life since I was 7... I've played it, watched it, supported it... it was the thing that I did with my Grandad. I miss playing with work on Wednesday evenings. I miss going to the pub with my mate to watch it. I miss chatting to the blokes around me at the Lane. I miss ringing my Dad on the walk back to Tottenham Hale to tell him about the match.

I was taking my daughter to her first game at Tottenham Women in May, so I'm going to miss my daughter's face brightening up when she see's Lily. Although I'm sure we'll still get to do that.

There's only so much FIFA, doing keepy ups in the garden, and past season reviews on Youtube can do to curb my itch.

I need some damn football.

I miss playing it a lot.

I also miss watching Spurs, just a little bit. It's funny though, at the time the league was suspended I was probably the most emotionally drained I've ever been, in relation to Spurs. Just waiting for this shit season to be over.

This situation is obviously terrible for everyone, but just for once, an external event beyond our control actually seems to work in our favour. This is completely unchartered territory in relation to Spurs, at least for me.

I miss football in the sense that is part of "normal life". Thinking about if spurs will win or lose and having that be thing that takes up my time feels like a luxury in comparison to what is going on now.

If football was some how still happening now I wouldn't care about it. When it returns it will be a signal that we can all collectively relax.

Yeah, should add that as far as Spurs goes, I'm happy to not be thinking about all that nonsense anymore.
