Harry Kane has told us about the invaluable advice handed to him by Peter Crouch as he started on his path from Academy trainee to becoming the first Spur to hit 30 goals in 23 years.

I really miss Crouch. Top player. Top professional and seems top bloke.
Some of the abuse he gets on here makes me sick.
Him and Vdv were deadly. Vdv fkin loved playing with him.
Never really replaced him with same or better quality either. Was another chip taken from that great squad imo :(
When was the last time we actually strengthend in a position, other than Lloris, since we were in CL? I don't think we have. It's been a step backwards in every position. Gutting.
Thank fk for Kane.

Crouch is the perfect plan b.Would be a valuable squad member if he was still here to bring on for the last 15 when we need something different

Crouch was a very nice guy, I agree with you all. However, I was SOOO happy when we sold him - the only player more frustrating than him was Defoe. Crouchie was quite poor for us - 93 games, 24 goals. Like you said - top guy and all, but I am glad he is not with us anymore. Hopefully, he can become a coach one day. It seems that he certainly has a friendly attitude towards other players.

I think thats a very short sighted view. There was so much more to Crouchs game than scoring goals. He caused the opposition serious problems. He held the ball up brilliantly and assisted in setting up goals. He was also and still is always involved in every game. Listen to the commentator and its Crouch this, crouch that, crouch lays it off. He NEVER disappears. EVER.
IMO, and Ive said this before, selling Crouch was the beginning of the end for me. The first backwards step we made.

For his goal against City to get us into CL and his winner at the San Siro against AC Milan, I don't think any Spurs fan should give Crouch abuse.
