I don't blame Levy for selling him, I blame Levy for not giving him reason to stay.

And for not replacing him with a decent alternative. We weren’t expecting another Kane but either someone who’s delivering the goods and has high potential or a proven striker.

Solanke works hard but he’s no Kane by any stretch of the imagination and he’s only had one successful season in the top flight.

It’s just not Kane’s goals - he was an assist King, a defensive force for opposition set pieces, a leader, an all round superb player. Kane out and Solanke in replaces a negligible percentage of what Kane brought to the team. As he’s an enigma you find you may need several players across the pitch to soften the blow of what he delivered week in week out, Levy/Lange and co didn’t deliver on that either.

He is fucking ridiculous. I just shake my head at anybody who thinks he should be dropped by England.
Any manager/coach who drops a world-class player is even more stupid than the fans who think that player should be dropped.

I do rate Solanke but I can't argue with any of what you say.

He should have been booked for ungentlemanly conduct. Superb goal.

I love how he delivers on the pitch and stays humble.

I didn’t say there was. I said we lost of a whole host of defensive, creative, finishing and leadership attributes when he left and we haven’t replaced them within the squad.

He's built a strong image there already, with the chat show appearances etc.
His chat show appearances were as dull as dishwater though

he might like the US and might go there as a big name but he doesn’t really have the personality to transcend the sport

Beckham managed to. He had a look and aura but in interviews was dull as dishwater.

Kane can be a big deal through his personal achievements and professionalism.

I thought he handled himself pretty well on Kimmel, was it? And he bossed Hot Ones.

Don't know if this will embed, but this is a quality finish.

That is a filthy goal.

It's also Berbatov esq IMHO just maybe not quite the swagger of a Berba goal; we've had some damn fine players through our club it's just a shame we've not had them all at the same time...:ROFLMAO:

Kane is son underrated it's not funny, the goal Sonny scored from a Harry chest control and outside of the foot perfectly weighted pass on the halfway line reposted a week ago, that pass wouldn't have looked out of place if Luka Modric had played it, that pluck and header above, his penalties, no weak foot. His defensive work, variety of goals.

He's the most all round world class player I think I've had the joy of watching.
He get's labelled as dull because he's not caked head to foot in bad tattoos or a zany haircut or knobbing a different supermodel every month.

He had the audacity to play for Tottenham Hotspur which makes him shit in some peoples eyes; he's only a 76 for pace on FIFA omg how will people cope?

Sorry I went off on one there...

Did Levy have a real choice ? Kane wanted out.
Levy did have a choice, he could have invested and built quality around Kane far earlier, he didn’t. Instead he appointed and sacked managers endlessly, had no plan, no strategy, made it up as he went long, got found out and then Kane f***ed off.

If Levy couldn’t get it done with one of the greatest goal scorers in our history he never will. Like you say Levy had no power at the end and all that he had left was his shitshow of ineptitude.

Said at the time I'd rather let him see that last year out than take the money. Didn't trust levy to spend it and ultimately what have we got from it?
