Been thinking on WLBs posts:

Is it a case of the deal is definitely off so now we need to thrash something out to suit all parties.

Or is it if you are so keen to stay this season put your money where your mouth is - sign a new deal or take Bayern's offer.

Reality is he'd just rather continue to keep his options open after being locked in for years.

If the deal was definitively "off" i think we would be hearing that...

All parties would be jumping into PR mode to spin this to suit their narrative, they wouldn't be trying to coordinate with each other.

And any owner with ambition to achieve isn't going to demand it either.

It's simple if I'm Kane. "Look Daniel I don't want to leave but you have to admit it's been a complete shit show the last few years. I really like Ange and he's really impressing me but I'm not going to sign an extension until I see if this is the real deal or another false dawn who is sacked by November"

Deal with it!
Levy should be delighted H isn’t bolting out of the door after the last few years

If he overplays his hand now he’s shown what’s he’s all about

its up to levy to build a quality team that makes H want to commit

I don't think the club is in any position to dictate anything in that direction. In the end, if Harry doesn't want to move this summer or sign a new contract in the next year, there is absolutely nothing the club can do to stop that.

PSG are finding out the same thing with Mbappe.
I mean there is something the club can do, and that's not play him. It's beyond unlikely, like beyond anything extremely remote. But that is an option.

Oh! He's pulled the plug?

Mental really. Agrees personal terms with Bayern weeks ago and when it comes to it he doesn't want to sign on the dotted line. What a waste of everyone's time

He may have agreed personal terms weeks ago even a month or so, but the club didn't agree a transfer fee until the last day or so.

Why is is a "waste of everyone's time" if Levy is screwing the last Deutsche Mark out of them?

Personally I don't want to see him go, but if he is determined to leave, we should every rinse everything we can out of the buying club with the transfer fee, add on's and sell on clauses.

Maybe not totally hi-jacking it as we've bough players in, but you have to imagine half of the holdup over Tapsoba/VdV was because we had no idea how big our budget actually was going to be, among other deals.

Plus we've obviously spent the past few weeks exploring loads of options under the assumption he could leave.

Must be a colossal amount of time and energy wasted given we've had to plan around 2 vastly different eventualities.

So much more time could've been focused on getting players out of the door than negotiating an imaginary deal too.
Although I don’t really think theres much for the club to do on the outs. They can’t make other clubs bid for them. The guys we want to move aren’t good. They aren’t anybody’s 1st choice. They are going to be 2nd/3rd/4th/ last resort options and will be at the end of the window as those teams try to get the best deals they can for guys they arent all that enthused about.

It’s not like us calling a bunch of teams to try to flog them is going to convince them they are better than what they are. That’s what agents try to do.

Interesting that just as uk media creeps to 70/30 ‘increasingly likely’, FP comes in with the 50/50. Defo a ripple along the line.

Lets not rule out the possibility that Kane has been dreaming of playing for a "top top" club for a couple of years now - but when it came time to actually do that, he decided it wasn't really what he wanted. Once it became closer to reality, maybe he and Kate decided they are not the kind of people to chase glory.

Who knows?

And, maybe he has been so despondent with the negative football, coupled with a lack of success in the last several seasons - that Ange has been a refreshing renewal on his love of football.

All summer - this has been a dance with 3 parties - Kane, Spurs and Bayern. Finally it's down to just Kane to decide. I am sure its a daunting choice for him to make.

I know there are 500 contributing factors in this scenario, and I haven't heard anything today since I posted this morning. But I know for a fact that Ange has left a serious impression on Harry. I'm not saying he will be the reason he stays, but if he does decide to stay, Ange will have been a huge reason for that decision. Watching Harry for at least the next 12 months in an Ange team gets me very excited. Let's see how it plays out, but all the noises from on here and elsewhere currently point to the fact he's staying 🤞🏼

Imagine letting this carry on the way it has and you weren’t even certain you wanted to actually follow through with it in the end. Amateur hour with Charlie at the wheel. Imagine being so shitty at your job you actually make me take sides with Daniel fucking Levy.

He’s just trying to show us that it’s a tough decision, but ultimately he has to take it.

Plettenburg is a 'clap-happy' Bayern obsessed clown that believes that absolutely everything must go exactly the way Bayern wants it to.

He's so blinkered that he believed the deal was basically a 100% since day one, when we were nowhere near close to a deal.

If he's saying that it's 50/50, then that means that the deal is off as of now.
