Problem is, I think teams will pay him a fortune if there’s no transfer fee involved.
Same applies to clubs "re-signing" players at the end of their contracts. Should a player be 'that' good.. they'll have earned it.

Spurs pay up and keep Kane it's that simple. In 11 months time, imagine Kane is not a Tottenham player, and what would we do/say/pay to bring him to our club.

Start there.

I agree but there is a level that will be too much for us.

If someone offered him Haaland or Mbappe wages, we’d struggle to match it.

That’s what I thought. I had a look and the source I looked up said £20m a year. Guess I should have trusted my memory more than a random source.

I remembered a TV commentator saying it recently - I googled the Haaland money and yeah it's £865-900 and one even says a MIll per week.

£860 = 1 million euro, give or take

The nightmare scenario is Man Utd or maybe Newcastle.

Bayern or PSG he will score loads win the inevitable league title and probably domestic cups but in the grand scheme of things be nothing more than a bookmark in their respected histories, he is too old to break either clubs goalscoring records or league records in all probability,

So you then looking at Newcastle, handicapped to a extent by FFP, and maybe 3-5 years away from really challenging, if they can afford him and he stays that long can break both their legends goal scoring records, and maybe win things in time.

Man U is the ultimate nightmare, under the Glaziers it’s one thing, if their takeover ever goes through they will not be anywhere near as handicapped as Newcastle if at all by FFP, and they are the one club that can challenging City quickly, he can break Shearer’s records and if he fires to them to the league and maybe champions league will go down as a legend there.

It’s a nightmare and probably comes down to Man U and us, the club must surely have some kind of indication and feeling from him if he will sign a new contract.

re-sign him for big money. loan him to bayern for two years with them subsidizing wages. when he comes back will have numerous trophies and can go for the all time prem goal scoring record

But we can’t offer him any real guarantee of silverware.
Apart from about 3 clubs, nobody can guarantee silverware and those three clubs only offer easy (cheat code) silverware.
City are the only real "best option" for him.
PSG and Bayern will give him a league title but it's hardly anything special.
I can't see anyone else wanting him or being able to afford him.

I've said before, as long as we're competing for stuff, I reckon that would be enough for Kane.
Just watching the West Ham fans and players celebrating their recent trophy, imagine how Kane would feel lifting the fa cup as captain of his one and only team?

He's never going to Chelsea or Arsenal, Man U aren't the team/club they once were and I honestly can't see much appeal in any other team out there.

I keep seeing this ludicrous suggestion. It’s only slightly more realistic than the moon suggestion from @Trent Crimm a couple of pages back.

We aren’t going to loan out our best player for a season so he can win a trophy. What a pathetic, unambitious cuckold kind of move that would be. It’s like letting your wife fuck the neighbour because you can’t get it up anymore.

I genuinely wonder what planet some of you people are on.

I would say if/when Mane goes to Saudi the story will start to be much more of a when will Kane leave until they are able to offload him Bayern will not go all in and risk to be stranded with two players with massive wages, they are not like us.
