If he goes, just let it happen soon so we have time to get a decent replacement in. I’m already bored of this, he wants out, so let him go. No way we get 200mill and you can do a lot with £130mill.

Levy must love the situation with CK. it’s a bit like playing chess with your 3 year old son ??

I hope not, usually you have to let them win to avoid any tantrums.

There’s rumours Man City will bid £130 million. So they are creeping up.

Need to get shot. Find some compromise fee coupled with easily achievable huge add ons. £20m if they win the league, £10m if the win the League Cup, £15m if they finish in the top 4 and on. Give everyone a get out. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this is where the hard negotiations come in.

Lessons have been learnt and bridges have been burnt.

My assumption is it's not a misclick. Accidentally liking posts on insta doesn't tend to happen too often (from my experience anyway), plus I'm sure he'll have been tagged enough for him to now be aware of having liked it. Only thing I would say is that I guess there's a possibility he doesn't even run his insta account

It's been liked from Sessegnon also!

Sorry to be a dick, but: I don't really like this "Charlie Kane has bad taste" chat

If he acts like a prick, that's one thing, but taste is personal - he might well not like what some of you have.

By all means criticise him for not acting well though - knock yourselves out on that!

sorry char.

If we do end up selling to city, G Nev and Rio will be pissed because I'm sure in their eyes they saw their public get Kane out of Spurs agenda saaw him ending up at United.

Why should we have to wait for large chunks of the transfer fee over the period of his City contract?
Say he joins and they don't win a trophy, we'll only get £15m. Then they sell him to Chelsea because it just hasn't worked out and they fancy Haaland instead. We'd end up massively out of pocket.

We'll want to re-invest (a fair amount of) his transfer fee this summer, not next or 2023 & 2024.

Simple to build that in. ‘Easily achievable’. It’s a get out clause for all. If they sell him to that other mob we get 20%?

Edit - get the friggin’ thing done and that got out of here.

I was also talking ‘compromise’ as say £120m!!

I do not watch SSN at all anymore, it actually surprised me that the club has it on full rotation at the training ground.

Anyway, I wish people would stop going on about getting players from Man C in part-exchange, absolutely no way would the likes of Laporte, Mahrez, Jesus or whoever else want to come to us. And we probably wouldn't want to pay the wages they are on either. Let's get a straight up cash deal from City, all money upfront because they can afford it and afford to pay any feeble ffp penalty they may or may not receive. Give Paratici the funds to work with and let's rebuild our squad in his and Nuno's mould.

Kane does not care about the club, only himself. I do not care about Kane, only the club.

I agree in terms of their players. Plus if you look at the players Man City transfer to other teams in the premier league, which is a rare occurrence, they usually put buy back clauses in the deals for the better players, so that they retain the upper hand. Douglas Luiz and Iheanacho for example. Besides I’m sure their initial offer was cash plus first option on a number of players, not an actual exchange.

I agree with this, whilst I say we won't get what DL wants. Anything less should be upfront and in full.

I've hit the acceptance stage of this now. He's 28, ankles are a mess, and let's be honest, doesn't want to be here. Cash in now while his value is still relatively high and before City start sniffing around the likes of Haaland and Mbappe etc.

£130mill will just about do it, and put that money towards players who want to play for our club.

130 for a 28yr old with dodgy ankles is superb. Yes I know to us he's worth more but it's not our market. Time is our enemy, because Kane wants out, he's never putting in the work he has for again. It'll be most Spursy thing ever to sell a 29Yr old for 100m at best in 12months when 130/150m is on now. This current Kane is never giving us the pre Neville interview Kane we had. Yes levy, club are in command right now but that changes every day this rolls on. Bale, modric, are examples of performance drop off. The Harry who gave all for the shirt has already left.

130m I massively under our valuation. It sends the wrong message to the rest of our players and the rest of the league. Kick up a fuss and you can get your move and we’ll sell you at a lower rate. What happens now decides the type of club we will be for the next 10 years.

If Kane went to The Bahamas and is not double vaccinated then he has to self isolate, end of ……
But surely you'd expect all of this to be sorted before preseason training.

If the player and club agreed or Kane to go on holiday and his self-isolation would result in him missing the beginning of preseason training you'd think they'd make this publicly known.

It just doesn't ring true to me.

I listened to Ally Gold YouTube post yesterday about this whole mess. According to the people he’s spoken to with sources at Man City, they have no intention of going to anything like the number that even starts a conversation with Levy.

If true, where does that leave Kane? Desperate to leave but his chosen club doesn’t want him enough to secure his sale and has prioritised the transfer of Grealish over his. Meanwhile, in 2 days he has gone a long way to torching the reputation it took 7 years to build and by the end of the window he could very well still be here, facing full stadiums for the first time in almost 18 months.

He and his idiot brother really didn’t think this through, did they?

Decides what type of club we will be for next 10years?? Carrick, Berbatov, modric, Bale!! We are who we are under ENIC! We are not the club signing 2 Argentinians back in 78/79, or signing geordie geniuses right under Man United's nose or signing German world Cup winning strikers on a yacht in Monaco.
