Harry Kane: "For me I don't want to come to the end of my career and have any regrets. I want to be be the best I can be." "I never will say i'll stay at Spurs for the rest of my career, and i'd never say that i'll leave Spurs. Im not rushing anything, im not desperate."

Every player will say that because of back lash. Imagine you ask you wife will you cheat. If she wont she will say no. Hmmm maybe yes maybe no i wont say yes i wont say no. You know shes gone.

All agents are mouth pieces of players to take the fall for players. Just like any pr or manager for artiste.

Kane will be gone.

Unless poch comea back and we sign like 200m worth of players. Genuinely competing. Which is impossible

From all of this media rubbish I hope fans can remain calm and not turn on Kane over this, as that is exactly what they want to happen and fans end up pushing him out of the club.

That said, I find it pretty horrible that Kane or people linked to him have decided now is the time to do this considering points were still up for grabs that mattered to the club.

Mentality of some of our fans is pathetic. You want the club to change the way we do things but as soon as there's some bad news or things go a little awry tons of you crumble worse than our players.

You can't expect the club to change its mentality if you can't get on board for the ride.

Man the fuck up and stop overreacting.

He didn't say he wants to leave.

He danced around it. Sure it was a 'I'd still like to be friends' type vibe. But ultimately he said he's in no rush, he thinks he has alot of years left at the top level, and he wants to hear what Levy's plan is for the future. He wants to win things.

Levy hold's all the cards as Kane's biggest weakness is that he's a good boy who won't risk going on strike. Levy needs to do a proper job of convincing him, and actually achieving a quick turnaround next season. Fucking tough with the covid mess.

I'd like to think this conversation will give Levy a kick up the arse and invest big into the squad - but we all know that's unlikely. We'll probably keep hold of Kane for another season, have another mediocre season and end up selling him the following year for less.

Nobody forced him to sign a very lucrative contract (6 years) and no clauses. Videos bed from the club is he is going nơhere! And certainly not for the next 12 months. Then club likely to consider bids overseas.

Not sure why anyone think that it is inevitable that he is off. He sounds unconvinced with the progress and this could be every bit the warning shot as it is "I'm outta here". More importantly, there is a contract and the club still has leverage. "You want out? OK but we're selling you abroad so it will be at least three years before you can come back to the EPL. It might be harder to break Shearer's record that way. But if you stay one more year and we don't make CL, we'll be willing to sell you for X."

Wait Harry thinks he's going to get out for 100. That's honestly laughable. Sancho was being touted for more last summer.

Whatever that conversation he has with Levy, you can almost guarantee false hope from Daniel in regards to recruitment.

I don’t doubt we’ll spend but as history shows we won’t spend enough needed to make a big push.

Can see both arguments.

I'm sure he'll be thinking that it's down to him that Spurs have been as competitive as we have over the last 5 years. Or at the very least mainly down to him. He knows he's a top top player and the best player in the squad. Therefore I can understand him thinking he's given the club his all and now wants a change to win things.

Flip side, he's contracted to us and paid extremely well to give us the performances and goal scoring consistency that he's shown over last 5 years. He's not doing it for free.

I don't want any player playing who doesn't want to be at Spurs. In fact, after watching how completely mentally weak we are, I just want players who are prepared to dig in and give their all each week. Even if that means we're a mid table side with lower quality technical players.

To summarise:
  • Kane has been fucking unreal for us
  • Kane is paid accordingly to be unreal for us - he doesn't do it for nothing.
  • I understand he wants to win things - our squad is fucked and he ain't winning shit with us.
  • He's our asset so we need to make sure we get as much money as possible for him - because that will help us build a team again.

Jesus the bedwetters are out in full force today!

He said it himself, he won’t guarantee he’ll stay, nor will he ask to leave. But he’s putting the screws on Daniel for sure and rightly so.

Let’s see what happens, but that doesn’t sound like a man who’s going to demand to leave the club this summer
Such negativity around the club, people seem to take some perverse delight in willing the worst to happen. It’s genuinely odd.

Poch was right when he said we need to change our mentality. There are enough people outside the club trying to derail us without our own fans joining in.

I think a lot will depend on the manager and the players that come in.

Balls out the bath time for Levy (Partridge quote), Levy needs to not worry about 'doing a Leeds' and invest because the big asset that is the club he owns will continue to depreciate in value if the playing staff aren't up to scratch. Maybe Levy has finally realised that? Probably known it all along but has ridden the luck of Poch to the point where it can't be ignored anymore.

Will it be enough to convince Harry one more season here will be worth it? I doubt it, but it's not just hid decision regardless of the bravado in that interview.

There's no smoke without fire. It's all there. Harry is obviously a nice bloke and he won't directly come out and say he wants to go but we have to get used to the fact that we are going to get another season tops and then he's gone.

He isn't signing a new contract and in my opinion we should sell now as it's just delaying the inevitable and holding up the rebuild that we need to move forward.

Well quite, I'm laughing at the people putting 2x2 together and saying "he's gone" so vehemently when that interview can be taken in so many different ways.
