Mabbutt/Roberts/Gough, any two from this three would be my first choice ahead of any other CB''s from the past 30yrs.

My old brain must be failing me, but I don't recall Roberts playing too many games at centre half. Midfield enforcer now that is a different thing, he was very able, and a lot better than he was giving credit for at the time. Crikey I wish we had someone of his ability in our midfield now. I do recall him saying in an interview a long time ago that his happiest days as a player was with Glasgow Rangers. I was disappointed with his comments then, so for some reason they stuck in my mind. His comments about us are rarely flattering, but no one wants to hear him hark on about Rangers, so he just gives it to us with some unflattering comments when the opportunity arises. With our club there is always an opportunity for an old player too give us a sly dig every now and then. He was a pretty good player but not a great. I give him respect as a former player but his comments appear vindictive, and only made for what he perceives as shock value.

I think Graham Roberts and Pleat should be censored on what they say about THFC. You never hear Hoddle or Mabbutt slagging the club off.

About the anniversary game: Says that he was not invited to the it because of his comments about the Ramos fiasco. Press Officer called him to say the club didn't want GR to make any comments to the press. GR said when you pay my wages you can tell me what to do!

Also reckons (or says he knows) that Bent wasn't Jol's choice. Two CBs and and a midfielder were needed.

Says he still loves the club and would go back and work for free to sort out the defence!

GR loves the club, that's all that matters, he can say what he want.
Shows the board is run by petty little people for not inviting GR to the 125 anni

No Graham Roberts could never work with our defenders because we have black players and he is a well known racist .

I have personally witnessed an appalling racist attack on a ball boy from him .

Also he was thrown out of his last managerial post for racism . This was reported on the bbc .

Big Ron is exiled to media Siberia for one comment while this racist arsehole has a regular media platform...

Yes of course I watched him I saw him play loads and he was an average player who wasn't good enough for our team now, he had a big heart and he was hard and as you say he had drive I'll certainly give him that but I listen to talksport and every time they want someone to put the boot in to Tottenham they get Graham Roberts and he duly obliges so he has pised me off big time and that is why I have broken my rule about saying anything detrimental about Spurs players.

Come on, GR was the enforcer that helped Hoddle have a free role. He was a hard man with a big heart for the team. I think we need a GR right now.
