Dude, Flatters isn't denying that he's a Spurs legend (I think).

Roberts is a Spurs legend as a player, but his 'expert' antics make him come across as a twat. He can be both a Spurs legend and an 'idiot on the radio' at the same time. It is possible, believe it or not.

It's the same way I feel about Hoddle. Spurs legend as a player? Yes. But that doesn't mean that I don't think he's a twat given his personal beliefs. Again, he is both a legend and a twat in my eyes.

I know he only publicly said it the once, and of course just because I disagree with this doesn't automatically make him a twat. But it's just such a stupid thing to say.

Anyway, that wasn't my point. The bigger picture I was trying to paint was that people can be legends in one field and idiots in another. Roberts is one of those people.

Do you have any knowledge of his Managerial record? And even the reasons as to why thats probably the only work he can get these days, considering what he had to go through. He put a side together at Clyde with next to no money to spend that turned over a Celtic team under Gordan Strachan.

Lets put it into proper context shall we. Graham Roberts IS, not might be or may be, or possibly. The man is a Spurs legend. Now i don't care if you have only just turned five. Educate yourself and watch videos(DVDs) of those FA CUP finals and UEFA CUP final and see what the man was about. I don't care what the hell he says on talksport and nor do i even care if he fantasizes about being an ITK. I find it sad that you can't recognise him as a Legend but will readily call him a Twat.

But the scenario you just offered up, is so far beyond fucking ridiculous, im at a loss :shrug:

Christ some people on here, honestly. I am only young (so therefore I can slag off Graham Roberts without knowing what I am talking about) and I don't listen to talksport (yeah and your point is what?)

Arrogance and a belief you are intellectually superior to others does not mean your view is more relevant than others. This man literally spilled blood for this club and the fact that he believes others like Arshavin would want to play for this club endears me to the fella. The fact that he hold Spurs in such high esteem is a good thing. Go back and research videos of the man throughout the 80s before you are so quick to slag him off. True legend GR.

I really rate Roberts, Lineker, Walsh, Mullery, Anderton, Ferdinand, Sheringham as players for Spurs but haven't really impressed me as media people/analysts, whatever.

Still have a soft spot for them all, just don't think they´re great.

Except Garth Crooks, he's a legend. Also, Archibald is alright here as a co-commentator here in Spain.
