Everyone knows I love Rossi, but letting him sign a new 5 year contract and then bidding for him a few days later is stoopid.

I doubt we 'let him' sign a new contract and I doubt it will make that much difference. Whether he signed a new contract or not I doubt Villareal are in a position to turn down £25m or so.

It's going to go into complete meltdown tomorrow. We are going to be throwing silly money at every striker in Europe. I think Levy really senses the need for both a striker and a lift.

no more midgets

But seriously do we need this guy or is he the only one Levy can wrangle?

I'm gonna be a little underwhelmed if after crying out for a top class striker for so long we finally unleash a 30m+ fee on Giuseppe Rossi. Not saying he won't be good or anything but is he really in that class? It's pretty much what we sold Berbatov for.

LLorente I would be more pleased about because at least he os the "type" of striker we need.

Hope there is a chance of us getting Forlan alongside Rossi.

All noises pointing towards Rossi now. Has anyone ever seen him head a ball?

lethal, lethal finisher though. regardless even if we're left with defoe being the main man after 11pm, the team needs to be trained to stop playing it out to the fullbacks, wingers, getting to the touchline and crossing it.
