The important thing is, its on the Official Site. I really hope we keep Giovani. He is perfect for the style of football we're playing now. I would have him ahead of Bentley any day of the week as backup for Lennon. Kranjcar and Modric on the left, Lennon and Giovani on the right, cant get much better than that.

Personally I think Wilson is a good influence on him, I hope he can stay and develop further because he has the talent he just needs to develop the toughness and decision making

It is on the Official Site so will have to be the party line. Hope he stays though. Would be nice to bench Lennon to keep him on his toes.

I would only do this if he has a blip in form, at the moment though he is still playing well and hopefully he continues to do so, i wouldnt bench someone for no reason on the off chance he does have a blip in form, only drop someone if they have a drop in form*. (*Rotate for cup games).

I think Gio is quality, but like others have said, i only see him as back up to Lennon. Bentley can go and we have Gio as back up to Lennon with Kranjcar and Modric on the left!

Maybe i'm too cynical, but i doubt it.....

I also think that he could be another reason that Pav can be offloaded in January. Playing Gio and Lennon as out and out wingers with 1 of our central strikers and Jenas, Palacios and Modric in midfield might be an interesting tactical option.

I was thinking something similar but with the current formation intact. With Keane and Defoe proving how we can make 2 smaller strikers work i could see Giovani possibly playing the Keane role if need be. He likes playing as a number 10 support striker. Kranjcar can play there too. It would make any potential sale of Pav more manageable.

Yes that would certainly be an option too. Either way I feel that if he was given a couple of full games he would grab his opportunity.

Do you realise how patronising you sound?

Overreaction much?

I'm sure 'needs' was just commenting on the fact that Harry, Roy Keane and Gio himself have all made reference to him having to pull his socks up.

Playing devils advocate here but,Based on what they have contributed this season, and last in the case of GDS, we could offload both Dos Santos and Pavlyuchenko without causing many problems.

I still hope the fates conspire to give Dos Santos an injury free run so that he can get a few substitute appearances and try and force his way into the team.
