Sometimes not every player is gonna make it with us, some just need a run of matches - unless you're a wonderkid or you get lucky and find yourself in the firs team due to injury - the chances are that you'll get shipped out on loan or be sold - this is the reality of the situation.
Hmm, I don't disagree about the realities but there is every reason to question how the youth set up has possibly hindered development of players that could have offered something to the club rather than wasting some of the cash that has been wasted since.

It's not a good look, is it?

Bar KWP who I fundamentally agree with was mismanaged I don't see how any other player would have made any difference whatsoever to us. I mean players like Griffiths, Onomah, Edwards are at the level they're at now because they are constantly playing matches, something we couldn't guarantee them especially in the Poch peak years when we were challenging for the title.

It would be wrong to say Onomah and Edwards haven't been mismanaged and I would add Oakley-Boothe to that, they at the most important time of their career, rather than play in the U21 or first team, they did neither.

I would love to see examples of players who have improved just by training, Wenger used to say the same thing during his barren period of not many players coming through and it was referenced as to why they should be allowed to steal kids from the Barcelona academy

Not loaning them hurt their career. At least with Onomah and Edwards, they got to be under the previous admin whereas someone like Oakley Boothe has barely played any football during the age of 17 to 18 but his move to stoke at a young age may result in him having the best career out of all our academy players

Onomah or Edwards were sent on loan to Villa/Sheffield Wed and Norwich respectively and didn't pull up any trees when they were there.

I'd say it's different with KWP because he wasn't even given a loan or a chance to improve especially since he should have been handed a chance after impressing with us.

Reports stemming from a West Ham ITK account Twitter (I know I know...) that Palace have agreed a deal for Eze.

I would much prefer to sign him than Zaha personally.

Would be a real coup for Palace - guess Zaha will deffo be off though.

I really dont get the whole Zaha thing. I mean he is ok but not 40-50m ok and certainly not 80m ok. Maybe 30m tops. I know Palace arent exactly great and he certainly needs a new challenge.

I think eh would do well at Brighton perhaps. Southampton?

Fuck me. Try watching him play football. His level is much higher than fucking Brighton or Southampton.

Agree, but despite his wish to play in the CL, the fact is that none of this seasons top 4 or scum or us will sign him.

So where does he go? Forget CL completely and go to Everton?

I can see another saga forthcoming from Zaha, Palace will be asking a lot but no-one is going to want to pay a lot for him especially since they don't need him.

Well yeah, that's the question. I don't know, but I suspect he'll end up at one of the Big 6, or a CL club abroad.

Maybe I was harsh but cant see the top six wanting him... Arsenal? West Ham? I mean who would take him in England.

He may need to go abroad to get what he wants which is CL football.

The problem was the club let these players just train with poch instead of getting loans at the right times which led to them stagnating. Which means we let players go to cheap. The academy is about developing young players to their max and getting the max value from them. In an ideal world playing first team football but mainly by selling them st the highest price possible to reinvest in the first team.

Everton I imagine.

Their fans want shot of a lot of players. If they can budge a few I think they'll go back in for him.
