Not exactly ITK but worth sharing.

I was out to dinner with one of the dad's from my son's team. We sat down across from his one of his neighbours - Miguel Molina (Arsenal Assistant Manager).

Aside from the general chit chat about Arsenal the only useful thing that I heard was that Arsenal had agreed a deal in the summer (2024) with player and club for Nico Williams but it fell through at the last minute. But he fully expects them to go back in for him this summer coming.

Hearing that and this Zubimendi signing has left me feeling quite annoyed as they are both quality players that could get in to most teams in the world and will take arsenal out of our reach for quite some time if it happens

They are Williams and isaac away from dominating for several years

Rumours of Sesko to Arsenal now too, if they sign Zubimendi and Sesko then they could win the lot for a few years. Fuck football.

Said it before and I'll say it again despite the fact I fucking hate it, they are a proper club that wants to win things and does everything it can to achieve that aim. Compare that with us and it's laughable the difference

that's the thing i hate as an LA native and knowing the Kroenke's personally, they will spend and do whatever it takes to win, they do it with all of their franchises. They understand that kids and fans support winners. You win you increase the value of the brand and thus allow you to spend more and bring in more income.

They will spend big until they win and we will literally be stuck with our thumb up our ass because we can't convince some mid ass player to accept either a pay cut or buy players and pray they accept less than 100k a week.

Lastly, yes we buy great talents like bergval but these should suppliment our window NOT BE OUR WINDOW

Wise sentiments for someone so young. Completely agree

Sesko is still a bit weird because on any given day day he's either the best striker on the planet or a complete pub player. If he can iron out the inconsistency he'll be a monster but that's still very much an if.

The possibility of Manchester City going after Andrea Cambiaso in this winter transfer window was concrete and real.

The two clubs are talking but Juventus has not yet received an official, written offer.

It will most likely arrive in the next few days.

Cambiaso-City are already in advanced negotiations for a full agreement on the contract.

City not pissing about this window, bringing in 4 big enough money signings.

It's taking all my energy not to bitch and moan and compare it to us.....

Ah well who wants new signings?! Not me anyway

City are one of the very few teams that can throw money anywhere they need to get themselves out of problems. They're also facing unprecedented charges because of it.

I hope they get what's coming to them, but I have very little faith in that particular system.

If they're spending that much this window I wonder if it means they know that the charges are getting dropped, or will have minimal consequence.

We can't even get a loan deal over the line for the player we wanted, because we refuse to pay the wages asked.

Another window and we slip even further behind.

Very annoying as unsurprisingly he was high on Paratici's list a season or two ago. In fact, a lot of City's potential January signings feel very Paratici
If we could find a situation where Paratici signs ready first team players and Lange signs future players that'd be great.

In reality that probably doesn't work cause they are probably at different sides of how they see football and the coach we should be targetting.

So how is it that Arsenal are linked to some of the best players in the world, while we are not? Our revenue is similar, yet the owner and board seem focused on young (albeit talented) players they can later cash in on. Again, we have similar revenue, but they are working towards winning things, and we are not. It's absolutely infuriating.

i know there are some question marks over him(injuries in particular) but he really reminds me of salah before he blew up, he's unrefined but explosive in equal measure. he's a similar profile to son when we signed him from leverkusen, not in terms of style but where they're at in their career. it just seems a lot harder to sign those kind of players nowadays. those at the top of the food chain are signing these players much sooner which means we have to get them even earlier(like bergvall and gray). i actually brought adeyemi up on here years ago when he was at salzburg, he's developed into a different kind of player than the one i thought but he's certainly interesting. i would think he'd be right up ange's street.
