As a player I think that is another good signing for West Ham. Annoyingly. He's a very solid defender.

But that contract takes him to 3 months shy of 34 years old....

He is but he is woeful in attack. He is quite like Emerson Royal in that regard.

We are arguably the biggest club in the PL that can give him a lot of playing time, but also goes back to what Ange has said about players joining the club needing to be excited in our project and not using it as a means to an end.

I’ve spoken a lot about Cherki on here. There is most certainly a lot of talent there but there are big question marks about his mentality. That said IF Ange talks to him and thinks he’s made of the right stuff for his team then I’d love to get him. It’s just the mental aspect that really worries me.

Yep I read there seems to be some mentality issues so probably not what Ange is looking for. But a serious talent. Both feet are insane.

You have to be very careful signing from the Dutch league, he may look great over there, but the gap from the Dutch league to the PL is massive.

Add that to his quotes then this is surely not an option for us.

Just imagine Brennan or Kulusevski in the Dutch league, they'd rip it up.

I get what you mean, but think his attacking will be less exposed at West ham. They'll probably just ask him to defend and keep it tight, and leave it to Kudus, Bowen etc.
