He was their top scorer three seasons ago, he’s struggled for injuries since but is still only 23. In a world where prospects with no top flight experience go for anywhere up to £50m, I think it’s a fair deal for 35m and well worth a team like fulham taking a gamble on him.
Yes he's not a bad player and i think he will do well for Fulham but its frustrating that they are getting 35m for fringe players who barely play.

Sure, but if your fringe players are half decent, still young, attacking English players then there’s always going to be a market for them. Look at iwobi! That one was far more surreal.

Arsenal fans are gutted at him going which shows how highly they rate him. He's a very good player when fit. People comparing it to us and trying to sell Gil, it's not the same. Premier League clubs have money Spanish ones dont. He is a proven premier League player whereas no English club wants to buy Gil so we have to accept whatever we can get.

Wasn't the Iwobil deal when their then co-chairman's assistant was chairman of Everton? It was shonky as hell if I remember correctly.

Smith-Rowe hasn't looked like he can keep up with the PL pace any more on his rare appearances in between injuries over two years.

Mad price unless it's a low initial fee and then a bunch of performance related clauses etc.

Trying to be unbiased here but, how is smith-Rowe worth £35m. Can’t think of anything he’s done in the last 2-3 years
Not specific to this deal as I haven't read the details but.....

Almost every deal seems to now be reported with the addons included to exaggerate the value, and grab headlines. A lot of the time the deal ends up being far less as an end total. These transfers should be reported as they are, ie the transfer fee itself and then how much it can rise to if every criteria is met. Trust me a lot of these deals would look very different if that's how they were reported.

Smith-Rowe has an England cap or two doesn't he? And he was highly rated at one point. I don't think it's massively over the top compared to other fees this window.

I agree but if he looked anywhere like his first level then he’d be going for 60+ right now. It’s a bit of a gamble but the potential for it to pay off is quite high imo, a run in a fairly attacking fulham team could br a catalyst for him.

He’s been injured a lot lately but he’s English which bumps his price up and before the injuries kicked in he played for England.

Im sure I saw he’s only £20-25m, they’re selling some young CB for €20m and also soule for €30m plus o doubt Juve are skint.
That seems cheap to me, he's worth more than that and is an important player for Dortmund.

They’ve signed Barkley from Luton, a couple of youngster from Juventus (one is the English player whose name escapes me). They’ve signed Dobbin from Everton in a weird PSR swap. They’ve signed Philogene from Hull and Maatsen from Chelsea.

There are probably some more that I can’t remember though.

Isnt it just Monchi doing his usual throwing shit at the wall hoping some will stick?

May relate to Spurs or not, but Toney left out of the new kit Promo. 5 or 6 men and womens players did it. Very telling.
