On the one hand you read stories about them needing to sell Gallagher for cheap by June and on the other they are agreeing deals for youngsters who won’t even join for another year. I don’t get it.

Maybe that it's next year is what makes it not have an impact. As I understand it they need to raise 100 mil by end of June but then they'd be free to spend in July anyway because it's a new accounting year.

Barca have to sell some players for decent money every summer, there are bound to be some very good players that you in a normal situation would think they'd be dumb to let go that they simply have to sell.

Yeah, supposedly need to sell by end of June, have a new manager coming in that might need specific types for the system and already looks like they need a striker and a CB, yet can spend 65m Euros on a player that wont arrive until the 25/26 season.
