To be fair, fans of other clubs do the same too when their teams are on the verge of sealing transfers. So much so that some clubs even use that as part of their announcement vids.

It just borders on retarded. Like I read countless messages pre-game and during the game yesterday from people saying they didn't care about the game, they just wanted the transfer announced. Should we just cancel all of our games and just announce a transfer every proposed game day instead? Because that's what people want apparently. It's dull as fuck.

Do you think it's likely that Levy would do an opportunistic signing from Portugal right after Mourinho has joined?

Last season he was a regular, then they changed system.

To be honest i dont know and dont know Levy... the only reason why I said opportunistic (which is no bad thing by the way) is that he was put on the 'loan' list and then we nabbed him. No bad thing and to be honest just because ive never seen him doesnt mean he is not a good signing. Im just thankful we signed someone/anyone

Hopefully will prove to be a great move but a little frustrating to see that Man Ure are on the brink of signing the Fernandes we really should be signing

Quite easy after the guy who tells us when deals are going to be announced says "Soon" though, isn't it?
Sorry, who, what? I've got no idea what you're talking about. I used to work on a sports desk, they let me know when something's going to drop.

I think the loan part is due to two things. First, it probably looks differently financially which enables us to do more business short term. Second, we get to see how he adapts to the country and the league. If he turns out to be a good player then 50m euros is probably a good deal anyway.

I guess that the longer the loan, the more time we can go without giving them much money, therefore keeping us in the race for ‘that special player’ kind of thing? Fingers crossed.

Excellent news. Fixes a short term problem in that he is another body in midfield and long term could be a really good piece of business if Jose can get him firing again - and you would imagine a young Portuguese player will be excited to have the opportunity to play for Jose!

Wonder how KUMB are reacting....I'm sure they'll comfort themselves with the fact they snapped up Randolph and are on the verge of signing Joe Allen.....

Kudos to Levy for sanctioning an 18 month loan, the bald wonder know Jose's peak tenure is just about there.
