It is. But if he's at that level, we pay it, if he isn't, we don't. This is 18 months down the line, fees might have taken another rise.

Also, you just have to look at some of those players that Benfica have let go on loan over the last 5 or so years. Bernardo, Jovic, Jimemez for example. They've been mugged off more than once, so I can see why they're covering themselves.

This is true, also with the clause the fee is accepted automatically without input from the club. They have to accept it. We can still negotiate for a lower transfer fee once the 18 months is over; which i'm sure is what will happen.

A loan would be ideal as long as you play. But if you go to England, and especially to a club like Tottenham, it is guaranteed that if things go well, you will not return.

Gedson is still a formation player, I don't think Tottenham and having a coach like Mourinho is ideal for him at this stage of his career. But his manager and the player there know.

Now Gedson has to adapt and become a great player, the quality is there!

I do not know what to say. It looked like there was going to be a future for Benfica especially after the year he played RV. It was very good at that time. But with Lage lost income, I do not know if this is the reality of the boy or why does not fit the system of Lage.

However lucky you are. I always liked him.

iGi.Jaydee gave us the heads up that our 1st signing was done and he is always on the money. He also said yesterday for people to not waste their time with hitting F5 so there is obviously no rush. I would imagine we will have confirmation by the end of play tomorrow.

Seems to me his perfect fit would be as the other b2b player in a 3 man midfield with Ndombele and a DM. Letting Ndombele being the creator, Gedson being the energy and then having a ball winner would be a hell of a way to be able to control game again but I think we would be back in a position where we are completely reliable on one player to create for us.

I think with that sort of system we'd need to emulate Liverpool and have 3 forwards. Kane, Son and one other. Not sure where Dele and Lo Celso would fit in however.
