Sad news

I met him in a nightclub after Southend played Villa, really nice guy and we chatted for ages. I was on holiday in Spain a bit later and was having a drink when I heard my name being called and he came over and he remembered me from before. So down to earth and not like I thought he would be like with the fame he had

I really enjoyed going to Villa, our company had box tickets via LDV, hospitality was provided by his wife on one occasion and Gary popped in to see us and have a quick chat. Nice couple an such sad news.

Back when I was 7-9 my best friend’s big sister Yvonne used to date Gary. Met him loads of times. He came around her house with Gordon Cowans several times. Really liked both of them because they had so much time for a couple of football mad kids.
