Bit gutted at that. Not because I held much hope of him coming back to us, but because he’s a special player, still in his prime, that should still be banging in overhead kicks in the CL.

He’s not done badly for himself, but when you have a certain amount of money are your achievements and footballing legacy not also worth a lot too?

Just shows it’s all about the money for him.

Really sad reflection on Bale. Going to a pathetic league just for the cash, it’s clearly all he cares about.
It could be said that if it was all about the money, it might be easier to sit tight at Madrid, rather than uproot a young family and drag them to China?
It could be the only viable option he has left to actually play football.

You're right, because evidently he had a whole load of other options presented to him

It’s his wage demands which are why his options are limited. His wage demands are his choice. He could accept 200k a week or something to stay in Europe but seeing as it’s all about money, he’s forced to chase the money to China.

So I don’t buy this limited options stuff. The reasons he has no other options is because he wants the most money as possible. That’s his prerogative but he will also open himself to criticism as to his motivations and choices.

Rather him go there than another PL team. Never been too bothered him not coming back to us if I'm honest. We have a great group of player, still fairly young, a lot of good vibes in the club. I like the direction we're going.

Given the number of people who seem to personally know Gareth Bale and how he thinks plus the ins and out of his contracts and on top of all that the events which led to the current situation, I have to ask, where was the fucking ITK when we needed it? Coming out with it now isn't much good.

There's a lot of people making big assumptions based on fuck all actual knowledge of the details. It's starting to look obvious where Talksport get a lot of their callers from :D

Pretty sure one of top tier European clubs would have been interested in him for the rumoured fee he is going to China for if he had been prepared to accept a pay cut from his rumoured £600k a week before tax.

Real Madrid as a club, Zidane as the manager and the fans as supporters should be ashamed in the way they have treated Bale! Yes he may have had injuries and missed games but what he has done at that club is incredible! One of Britain’s most successful exports in recent times, if not all time!
When I was younger I loved Madrid and the players they had but I have become to realise they are truly self righteous fucks...the Liverpool of La Liga!

Makes no sense. Obviously money must matter to him more than playing football at the highest level. Its like taking a pay cut was completely unthinkable.
