Gareth Bale

All the people who wouldn't want Bale back because of financials, wage-structure, diva-stuff, upset the team, inury prone (lol) or whatever.

Please.

Levy/Poch would never do an absolute idiotic deal for Spurs with RM. Always the club first.

Therefore if some deal can be done, you would be mad not to love it.

Bale is a SUPERSTAR, and can win us titles.

I think we’re at a cross roads ... we could splash the cash short term style and sign Bale and have a go at winning the league, or we could spend the same on a longer term player investment in a Sessegnon and look to continue our slow and steady progression. Or I guess we could do both (but if we signed Bale alongside Son, Dele and Kane how many games would Sessegnon get unless he really does want to be a LWB?).

We have the stadium, training facilities and are CL finalists. Now we need to add top drawer quality to take another step up. Exactly what Bale is. Let’s do this Levy!

Are you ok?

He scored 14 goals and had 6 assists in 42 apps (Started 21 times). Bearing in mind that he's been having an unhappy time and not consistently starting, I'd say that's pretty good going.

If you want to be against the signing because of injuries, age, wages or any other stuff then fair enough but let's not pretend that he's not still an elite footballer.

I don't know how much more obvious sarcasm has to be... It honestly baffles me that people can't see what is the most basic form of sarcasm I've ever seen. I 'spected more from you, Jonny :(

What with worrying about the CL final, I know have to spend the next 12 weeks thinking there is a chance for Bale?
Could be a very good summer...:nailbiting:

I honestly don’t think I could’ve made my post any more sarcastic than it was.

Great post and absolutely spot on.
Few other things to reinforce- Gareth doesn't have an ego problem.
Daniel and Jonathan B are very close and the original deal for him to go to RM was crafted well for both parties a long time before it happened.
All about doing the best deal on wages for us too and the impact that has on the rest of the squad.
How many wingers do we need as MP prefers EL over LM !! I know i know i know.
Personally i would absolutely love this to happen too!!

How, I don't understand this at all, there was a period when Kane and Dele were injured where Moura was only getting 3-10 minutes to make an impact which made me feel like Poch doesn't rate him but I can't understand why, he has a great work rate, he's pretty selfless and evidently he stepped up when we needed him most.

Must admit when you said there's a few surprise names out the door I thought Lamela would be one of the first.

Or he could just see Moura more as an striker rather than a winger.

Yeah both Moura and Bale can play as striker so it still could work in the squad. Wouldn't want to lose Moura even if Bale came in.

I think he did initially and I wasn't a fan of that either.

I think Poch has been working on Lucas all season. Was a definite attempt to change him to a striker but now seems to be more of an inside forward, using his pace to arrive in the box and give him shooting opportunities. I think he coasted by too much on his natural ability in Brazil and PSG, but that's as much the fault of coaching at the latter.

Bale is a winner and the type of player that the other players would look up to and try and emulate - he could have a massively positive impact on the mentality of the players - if we sign Sessegnon who else would you want him training with every day other than Bale?

Yikes, my bad. Maybe it's cos it was still early and that I've seen so many posts like yours that weren't sarcastic that it totally flew over my head. Sorry. I feel a bit stupid now.

I just hope that if there is any truth to this, that Levy doesn't spend too much time on it to the detriment of other transfers.

Lamela over Moura? wtf? I did hear that Poch wasn't a massive fan of Moura and saw him as bit of a headless chIcken but after his recent exploits surely he has to be well ahead of Lamela now. For all his hard work and pressing, Lamela just doesn't have enough output as an attacker and is so painfully one footed. At least Moura has a goal in him, can use both feet, has the ability to beat a man and to be fair is hardly lazy.
