even though we have been on the receiving end of Bale getting what he wants (when he didn't play just prior to the RM move) it is true that his agent has played a brilliant innings for him

His last game was against Sunderland when he scored a screamer for us to win 1-0 but we still came 5th!

So what you are saying is incorrect

I really hope not.

if Eriksen goes to RM, and Bale returns the media will make it sound as if it was a swap. it won't happen that way. Bale won't join us on a permanent unless RM pay him off (51m) and make him a free agent. if Eriksen goes this summer it will be for whatever Levy can make Madrid pay

I still see him as a game winner, something I feel like we still miss quite often. I would happily have him if it worked out, financially.

So the people who don't want an Eriksen Bale swap what if the alternative is Eriksen goes and we don't get Bale? Eriksen is going unless he decides to sign a new contract and not getting Bale doesn't change that.

I’d love some news on the Eriksen situation- it’s going to have a huge bearing on how we do business this summer

think the no news till after the final will be about outgoings.

the trouble is none of us know for certain if Eriksen's dream is RM or Barca, there has been conflicting news. if he doesn't sign, he will either be sold to 1 of them this summer or run his contract down.

if memory serves he has always signed a shorter extension compared to others

Would imagine if we had any interest Levy or an intermediary at the club would find a way to share some tapas with the RM hierarchy for a chat in the next two weeks given we're there for the CL final (will never get tired of saying that).

For me if the price is right doing this deal is a no brainer, he's a match winner, has scored important goals in big games throughout his senior career (once he emerged with us) and with the build of our squad he wouldn't have to play every game. Emotion certainly playing a part in my view but isn't that largely the point and why we all fall in love with football in the first place?

Problem is how much of his wage he is willing to sacrifice since there is only a handful of clubs around the world who could afford his current wages

Eriksen is only going if he's offered a dream move (so he says) and there hasn't been any sign of that materialising yet.

I would so love to watch Eriksen and Ndombele on the field together for Spurs... not to mention Pogba leaving for Madrid would be lovely.

It says Spurs had not decided whether to sell him to Real when we'd already spent £60million of his fee, he wasn't a Spurs player then and so was not under AVB's duristiction, it doesn't really say he blanked evrybody.
I loved Bale but there is some serious revisionist history - can't be bothered to do too much digging but will leave these two quotes here as rebutal:

"Nobody knows Gareth's state of mind because he doesn't speak," he said. "The only thing we see is the player arriving in and out of the training ground. But it's fine. Ideally we'd like him to stay here. This is where his future is. "
AVB

“This summer there has been interest in their Coach and their best player [Bale] - and they have been clear they both are not going anywhere. When my agent made me aware that Tottenham were interested I knew it would not be a move that I could turn down.” “To play in England for a great team like Tottenham is a dream. What I respect about Tottenham is the ambition they have shown.”
