I would welcome him home with welcome arms. just hope Lamela knows he would need to select a new squad number.

Bale would be the perfect marque signing and would get bums on, off seats. not sure if being on loan would bring in sponsorships, but it might help. let him have all his own sponsorship money which I believe RM have as part of his deal, make RM pay the main portion (or does the loan fee cover that) and let him smile again. I wished there was away of it being a permanent move but that only happens if Bale doesn't want the wages and wants to be loved instead.

we need a strong squad to allow us for injuries and to compete on all fronts. I just hope we have the dosh there to sort out the CDM,CM, RB afterwards.

And that’s just the transfer fee. Add inn Zaha’s 100k a week and that the actual comparison

£45m would the the total cost of Bale for three years

Zaha is already on £130k per week at Palace. If a CL side bought him for £75M+ he’d be getting a pay rise to £150-200k per week!

Just seen that. I really rate Zaha and he needs to step up but no-one is getting anywhere near that, nor should they. Maybe Utd at a push as they have a 20% sell on/discount.

Mahrez is the barometer for him I'd say, a better player who went for £60m. Even with HG tax it doesn't stack up.

I'd like to say I feel sorry for the lad but I'm not. He's been asking to leave for CL football for 3 years and has signed 2 5 year deals in that time with no CL release clause. Either naive or just plain stupid.

Also says they are adamant Wan-Bisakka won't be sold.

Could get ugly at Selhurst this summer.

They’ll sell one of them but not both, I’d imagine. No one would be remotely interested in parting with a 100 million, let alone slightly north above the Mahrez fee for Zaha. And in all fairness he enhances their chances of Premier League revenue for the next 3-4 years so it’s understandable them valuing him at that to keep other clubs at bay

Feel sorry for what crying out loud. His team made a ludicrous decision to not insert a clause in his contract. SERVES HIM RIGHT FOR BEING A D**K H**D

His choices have consequences. Just compare him to Hazard, for example. Another game-changing player, critical to his club. Could have been earning twice as much or more over the last two seasons, but purposefully declined a pay raise to run down his contract and get the move he wanted in the prime of his career. Meanwhile, Zaha is apparently not smart enough to realize his agent wanted to make a quick buck in two consecutive contract extensions during two consecutive summer windows. Took terrible advice and now he's in an impossible situation entirely of his own making. Maybe he'll get lucky and Athleti will come calling with some money to spend after Griezmann moves (or Dortmund if they sell Sancho). But even in those scenarios, 100M would be a 2-3X club record fee for both of those clubs.

No one outside the premier league could afford him except real, barca, PSG. And he's no where near good enough for them.

Kinda glad we won't be getting Zaha, the money could improve our team more if it was spent in other areas.

Zaha shot himself in the foot with that contract, he is going nowhere. If he's incredibly lucky Liverpool or man u might come in for him, if not he will probably finish his career at palace.

As for Bale, I see it as the icing on the cake, we should express our interest but bargain to the last minute with this. We should be looking to pay him the same as Kane, however we structure it.

After we have completed our main transfers.
