It'll be after the NLD with a transfer tomorrow, Coentrao will decide to join us and his agreed value (fee will be undiscloded and we won't have to pay anything) plus the Bale fee will total 99m EUR.

Ronaldo's ego temains intact as the worlds most expensive player as the Bale deal and the Coentrao deal will be announced as two separate deals.

There is no way the Bale fee has suddenly sunk without a reason, Ronaldo is the reason, so the fee and payment structure has had to be renegotiated to accommodate his ego.

It all seems pretty obvious.

We could announce Coentrao today and Bale tomorrow.

How does that make sense?

If the total Bale fee is €99m, and for arguments sake - say Coentrao is worth €20m.

If we announce is as a single deal - it would be €79m + Coentrao. But that could be played around with to leave the cash price at €79 but mess around with player values to get to that total.

If we announce it as separate deals... bales fee would be €99m and therefore a world record by a long way. Coentrao would be a totally separate deal and therefore not help at all in helping Ronaldo's ego. Unless we sell bale for €79m and sign Coentrao on a free.

Exactly. He is anounced as an undisclosed fee and we in fact getting him for nothing. Everyone is happy. Ego intact.

In relation to GB and sky sources its just stupid. I don't get why they push the topic of a player that should still be here. If they want the best league then they should push to keep the best players or get the best players. Am all for GB wanting real as they are a huge huge club and massive history but surely you would rather him be in prem with spurs then la liga with Real. The whole saga with them and the media has really annoyed me and would love to see hoe everyone reacted if it didnt happen. If Mastercard did people reactions of this..... priceless!

That is exactly right, yet the soccer Saturday panel ( of w******) slated us for no British signings and the damage we've done by selling caulker and giving Tom Carroll no chance. It beggars belief

SSN reporter "these are the pictures we captured last night with the two main players in the deal for Bale sharing a meal, and when we took the footage off air there was a clink of glasses, wine glasses I might add, and what looked like sparkling white wine as if they were celebrating a done deal"

It makes little to no difference to Sky; their income comes from eking out the maximum they can from the hundreds of thousands of UK subscribers. In their eyes, so long as they have us believe that the PL is the best league in the world, this revenue stream will continue. I mean, it's not Gareth Bale that makes Joe Average decide to subscribe to Sky now, is it?

No, it's the PL who will lose out (as well as us, obviously), as having players like Bale in it will maximise revenues from overseas TV deals and further cement its widespread popularity in emerging markets.

All Sky really want is a soap opera, and right now this is exactly what they're getting.

SSN twist the stories to drum up betting and ratings for deadline day. Bale to Madrid is the most anticipated move of the whole summer. Being done on deadline day would mean major ratings.

Surely we won't allow it to be announced before the arse game?

Giving them any little boost no matter how insignificant is not very wise IMO.

It has to be announced after we beat Arsenal 5-0. That would be the perfect timing.
