You would think fans would learn not to get themselves in lather over things beyond their control.

Remember Carrick, Berbatov and Luka.

I'm just looking forward to our new players and the new season.

Gareth stays then great but if he goes he goes - long as we get what we want for him - COYS

Spot on. I may give myself a day to wallow in self-pity. But after that, I'll just move on, hope we do some smart things with the money and in the end look back at it as something that progressed the club in ways that might not be instantly recognizable. Either way, I'm still a Tottenham supporter through and through and that's all that matters.

When I see an actual quote from Gareth saying he wants to leave I'll pay attention. Until then I'll just bury my head in the sand and ignore all this BS, hahaha.

I imagine the next big stage in this window (Spanish press BS aside) is Bale's first pre-season game at Monaco then (more so) at Home to Espanyol, to see if any numpty fans have a negative reaction to Bale for something they may assume is true...

The bullet points to the Marca article (google translate) are:

Headline = imminent outcome

  • back to London yesterday and insisted to tottenham on your idea of going
  • if the club does not negotiate his departure will be put on rebellion
  • if accepted, the signing may be closed today
  • incorporate it directly to the stage is white in Los Angeles

The amount of stick I'm getting at work from people acting as if these recent stories are gospel, all because of fucking Marca. I fucking hate Madrid now too, I really hope the way they've gone about this doesn't get pushed under the carpet, make them face consequences for the way they've acted.

Funny how even Modric changed his tune from 'Bale should join me here it's great' to 'I don't wish to speak about anyone who isn't at the club'.

Quick retranslate cos I think that was a little unclear:

Headline: Invented Outcome
  • If the club does not negotiate his departure nothing will happen
  • If accepted, the signing may be closed in 2014
  • back to London yesterday and insisted by tottenham you're not fucking going
  • Levy is in charge
