I could see the positives yesterday:

1). I was really made up for Ryan. He had a really rough run with injuries and to score against us, I was so happy for him and his family. I truly hope this marks the beginning of the rest of his football career.

2). I also felt some joy watching Newcastle fans celebrate a trophy. Like us, they have been long suffering and what a day for them.

That’s it. No positives in our play. Maybe the beginnings of some hope around Tel. But overall: Gutted. Again.

I thought there was much to like about Udogie's performance. He got better and better as the game went on.

Weirdly the second half up until Romero going off I don't actually think we were that bad. It's just yet another defeat to add to a long, long list.

You know, individually I could see a lot of positives, but as a team? I just don’t get it. I want to, I want to see the plan on the pitch, but it feels so disjointed.

Oh, I thought it was quite clear how we lost that game. We are shite.
It's not as obvious as you make out. We shot ourselves again when removing Romero from play and not bringing on Micky to see it through until the end. It was obvious Gray was going to get targeted and there we have it. It's another Ange screw up

We didn’t look bad but we didn’t look good either. What gets me is there was a lack of coherence in the team play. In attack, defence and transition. And, when they scored - we didn’t react well. I guess one good thing is we looked pretty solid on set piece defending.

It really does, sometimes you can see glimpses (and on occasion more than that) but then it slips backwards next match just as quickly. Some of it is players with the wrong instincts, especially in the centre of midfield which IMO is the key problem area, but then even when the players with the right ones are on the pitch it sometimes doesn't materialise either.

I get what you are saying however, there is a bit more to it than that. We had absolutely no cohesion, style of play or tactics. All this before and after Romero went off.

We are a badly coached team. I won't believe anyone that says any different.
I agree. Red flags started showing when - last season - we were conceding constantly from corners etc. When asked about it Ange said something along the lines of, "Nah mate, we don't focus on that in training, we've got other things to focus on". I believe we have some incredible players in our ranks that, under a decent manager would be doing much much better.

Yep, that was such a weird response, his post match interviews are definitely his downfall as he really doesn't seem like a guy with any tactical ideas to resolve anything. Every interview he does just winds me up as it becomes more and more obvious he's missing the key points.

It's just go all out and have the most belief possible. Sorry mate, that may have worked 10+ years ago or in terrible leagues with the best players, but not anymore in this league.
