He chose getting a higher fee ahead of getting the cash in time to make purchases. Fair enough, his decision to make. Cant hate on us for only agreeing to full price at the final time of asking.

Probably just trying to save face.

Blaming FFP as well. Well mr Khan, the problem might be that you went out and spunked a lot of money that you really couldn't.

Nice spin there for the Fulham fans, speaking as if Fulham didn't know our intentions and how our chairman operates.

He's talking about complying with FFP, if Fulham hadn't splurged £100m last summer they would have been well within the FFP boundaries, he's just exposing the bad business that Fulham do, regardless Fulham knew we were interested and we'd make a move for him so they should have planned accordingly.

Betis managed to get GLC's replacement and they knew they had to sell the make the money back, Fulham could have still bought, there's no way they would have let him run his contract down if they knew they could have got something for him this summer.

They signed onomah from us so not like they didn't have time to sign someone. They could have got the medical done and contract ready to sign. As soon as the money came in sign.

Ffp doesn't mean that they have to get the cash before they can buy anyway. It's done over 3 years ffs.

Some of my family are Fulham fans - if i'm correct this is the 36 yr old son who was also responsible for 'identifying' plenty of the absolute garbage signings that Fulham made last season. Fulham fans were saying last season that he'd overruled the then manager on signings and brought in players that he had targeted instead.

Clearly a man destined to ruin the club.

There's no hint of "fury" there - scarcely any even of "frustration". It's just an explanation. I see people are reacting to the journo-spin headline again.

I am amused to see that one of the few clubs in history ever to have got full asking price out of Daniel Levy is being portrayed as "furious" about it. He's nothing of the sort.

This has nothing to do with us and is directed at Fulham fans who might be wanting an explanation for why they didn't sign a defender.

Every club /chairman/director of football/ will try to get their signings as cheap as possible that's a fact having said that there are clubs like PSG Chelsea. Man City being newly rich and in the case of PSG and Man City they have the backing of a state Chelsea have a Russian oligarch clubs like Man Unt Barca. Real Bayern have vast sums of cash to spend and it is this group in the main who can and sometimes do pay up the overblown fees being. asked .
It is these clubs willing to pay these prices asked that the transfer fees are spiralling out of control and they don't care because eventually they will dominate all football with their spending power and they also pay wages that other clubs can't afford.
I applaud the idea behind FFP but its not really working . If say one of these clubs is in danger from FFP they just get one of the companies owned by there state owned companies to sponsor a toilet brush for the shortfall amount .
You only have to witness the vast sums of money City get for a few Photos planted around their ground for some tourist company.
