Do the deal January 1st, just before Fredi remembers he’s african again and pisses off for a month

Yeah, let's sell a player with great potential to quickly become a top striker for us because he's not been world class after a handful of games.

Wow, talk about knee-jerk. No wonder the opposition fans absolutely revel in our misfortunes.

So after we prise away their most succesful manager in history, they'd be willing to sell us their best striker for only 4 million when other teams like Milan and Juventus are also interested

hahahaha

Well obviously my thread was meant to be a bit sarcastic in view of the Ramos- Kanoute- Spurs triangle. But in all seriousness the fact that Milan and Juventus are apparently interested does tend to show that our deals to sell Kanoute for 4m and buy Bent for 16m were both foolish. Would Milan or Juve want Bent ? And could we sell Bent for 10m even if we wanted to ?

All that means is that he's more suited to playing in leagues with a slower tempo and an emphasis on technique. Players gravitate to their natural playing fields. Bent has HARDLY been given the chance. We overpaid for an acclimatized English striker, that's the name of the game. It's not a strike against the man himself.

He does not exactly seem to be brimming with confidence , maybe he's weighed down with the 16m tag ??

Or.....he is being rotated against our most valuable asset - Dimi Berby.

He'll get his chance - probably when Berby nobs off in the next window.

I'd imagine that we would end up bringing some players from Sevilla to the Lane, Kerzhakov, Fabinio, Poulson perhaps.
