Tottenham Hotspur have invested almost one billion pounds in what is arguably the most sophisticated sports stadium in Europe.
But the transportation links for 60,000 people are probably the worst of any major major sports stadium.
It was bad enough with 35,000 fans - it is far worse with 62,000 fans - and it can take literally hours to find a way out of the area after a game or concert.
Extending the Victoria Line to the stadium from Seven Sisters will improve accessibility and greatly reduce the nightmare for both fans and for local residents. It will also ensure greater economic growth for residents of the area - and could also be extended to Edmonton.
The huge investment in the stadium and further developments have brought an economic lifeline to this area and it is now time for the Greater London authorities to take responsibility, along with London Transport, the local borough council and Tottenham Hotspur FC, to ensure better access - equal to that enjoyed by all the other major clubs in London.

Half of london could sign that petition and an extension of the Victoria line would never happen. It’s the jewel in TFL’s crown. Trains every 90 seconds, state of the art signaling, and after lots of money, updates, and trial and error it runs near flawlessly.

With the Piccadilly, Bakerloo and central lines in need of massive investment and man hours to modernise, TFL messing with the Victoria line is never going to happen, especially not to appease some football fans using it only every two weeks anyway.
Improvements through white hart lane and Northumberland park, whether that be new trains, extra services or a new line (crossrail 2) are much more likely.

Less than 40 minutes from WHL to St Pancras at the weekend, walking to Tottenham Hale and getting the tube. After reading reports on here we were worried that 2 hours wouldn't be enough to make our train!

Had no issues again getting away - certainly better than queuing down Wembley Way

Sure, would love a tube station on the doorstep but the issues are being stretched somewhat

We could do with the improved WHL station and the extra (longer) trains. Maybe some better/more frequent bus routes?

But overall its not too bad. I generally get down to Tottenham Hale in 15/20 mins.

It could be worse, getting out of the Olympic Stadium is awful. Everyone has to funnel out of the same 2 bridges across to the shopping centre, where all the transport links are.

If the station is closer the queues will be longer. The walk thins the crowds as some walk fast and some slow.

Crossrail 2 will be stopping at northumberland park. So it is highly unlikely that anything will happen till then.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well the crowds have dispersed and how quickly we get into Tottenham Hale & Seven Sisters stations

Absolutely no problems and the exercise is good for us all

The only issues will occur when it’s absolutely pissing down and we're all either end up like drowned rats or try to cram into WHL Station

Or the third option, wait for a break in the weather and get absolutely smashed!!
