Footballer Loses Lower Part Of Leg

Danish footballer Jonathan Richter has had the lower part of his left leg amputated after he was struck by lightning during a match six weeks previously.

Tragic story. Got a lot of coverage in Norway as we always follow out Scandinavian neighbours closely.

Hope he makes a good recovery, all things considered.

They did say that Callum Davenport may lose his leg after being stabbed. Never heard any more about it though.

"Take strength from a friend of mine whom also lost a leg, having been in a coma for 12 weeks. He was involved in a boating accident and nearly drowned He struggled for many years to come to terms with this injury often making it really difficult for those around him. He contemplated suicide many times as he was unable to compete in athletics which was his life before the accident. But then got his big break starring as long john silver followed by two hop along cassidy films.
