Nice seeing team with lots of silky footballers in it, including Dier at CB who has obviously been a top DM in a past life as well..

I have to say though, despite me being happy with the win and thinking we played enjoyable football, a better team would have punished us severely today. A very, very poor Red Star team had 3 chances today that any other team would have scored and that would have changed the game drastically.
Basically there are plenty of positives to take away today but also plenty of things to work on.

Nah Peter Drury, personally I think he's an excellant commentator.

Him and Clive Allen is just a beautiful combo when they commentate on us.
Yeah I don't mind Drury either. I understand he can go a little OTT at times but he's decent
I, on the other hand, can't stand Drury. I hate the way he screams the goalscorer's name (he now tries to get both first and last names in) and the fact that he always tries to have the clever phrase at hand; which only serves to make him sound like a complete cock. The other thing is that when the ball is being passed around and he's saying the players' names, he says the player's name when he passes the ball and not when he receives it. I couldn't give a shit when it's us as I know who has the ball but when it's a team I'm not familiar with it's as irritating as fuck.

Anyway, on topic: a solid, professional performance (Skipp's lunge aside) with good performances all round. As others have said, I hope it's a springboard and not a blip.

Wow, what a change, Bringing on a few players who are ready to fight until the bitter end. Lo Celso was brilliant, Gazza was class. A completely new team to what we have watched previously this season. COYS!!!!.

this is true. Remember we scored four though. Get what you are saying but don’t downplay a well needed win when we all wanted it.

Not trying to downplay it at all. It was a much needed win and we played well but as I said, plenty of positives but also plenty of things to work on if we want to continue moving in the right direction.

That might just do Eriksen some good, best he's played since jan, good for him.

Looking at the players body language on the whole we might be about to turn a corner, we seem to be getting used to the chopping and changing of players & tactics which means we don't have a best 11 where an injury would weaken us, instead, we have a really strong squad.
Thought he was pretty shit to be honest. A heavily deflected goal aside

I'm afraid he's not one of my favourite commentators. He's always spouting on about statistics during the game even when there's an attack going on. At one time today he was telling us about Ally MCoist scoring a great goal in 1786 in Europe as Red Star were on a dangerous attack. He kept talking about our game against Everton last weekend I kept shouting at the screen "I'm not interested in history". I turned the sound off for a while but you lose what little atmosphere you can on the tele. So I put up with his drivel and watched us have a great win.
Well done lads f**** off Drury

just tell him how you really feel
Christian. I’m really really upset with you. I idolised you. And now you are cold and distant. And I can’t even celebrate when you score. I Hope you find what you are looking for. But. It’s over. I’m sorry. I didn’t want to end it this way. And I’ve found someone new. His name is Gio.

I’m sorry. I’ll forward you on your things.
