I'm no Journo but these "5 things" articles are a bit buzzfeed aren't they?

Dunno really. Everyone seems to do them. Helps me bundle my post match thoughts into sections rather than rambling like a loon.

How about 6 and 1 thoughts about the game. 6 for us and one for the opposition? Feels more Spurs.

Nice read - can't agree about Lamela but hey ....
The one I thing I learnt was we desperately need a top quality creator who can pick a lock in tight games

I shall pick a different number next time to mix it up, just you wait! Maybe it'll be seven, perhaps it'll be four. I'm wacky like that.

"Can't agree with the evidence I can see with my own eyes because it goes against my pre-defined agenda, which I've decided to keep pushing despite it clearly being completely unhinged".

Cool story bro.

Your posts/stance reminds me of a poster we had on here called General Levy. Got banned or something.

Often amazed how easy people get riled by your views. Especially those closet feelings for Lamela.

The problem with the game is we did not press hard.... Our players stroll around and play Sunday football except Janssen. Mentality is not there, period.

I didn't see the game so can't comment on that, but Vorm is loved, by me at least. He is a very good keeper & true professional. Everton are always going to be decent, even when they're not they're not far off it. I feel sorry for Martinez as I think he's s good manager but Koeman is better with this team.

I like your writing style so thank you.

Good read mate, I agree with pretty much all of it apart from a bit regarding Lamela as I've never really had the idea in my mind that he'd consistently missed easy chances in the past, for me it had been his reluctancy to go for goal in the first place. His confidence is at its highest now so that's changed. I still want to see him shoot more but I think the issue is as much down to his positioning as it is mindset now.

Good article.
I think it's too early to write off a Dier & Wanyama combination after one game though. Eriksen and Alli were quiet so Dembele in place of one of them might have worked nicely.

Look forward to future posts.

You remind me of a poster who was the laughing stock of this forum. And amazingly you share the same name. Gibbs. Surely its only mere coincidence.

Nice, pretty much summed it up. Would say that Dele Alli as a central midfielder could be a missed talking point though

Nice read! I also really like Gana in midfield. I am actually surprised we didn't look at him cause he is a bit more dynamic offensively than Wanyama but still does a very decent job breaking up play. Surprised Leicester didn't pursue knowing Kante was headed out.

I never like when people are critical of our own players but... Vorm makes me nervous every time he plays as he always seems to parry shots back into the danger zone rather than catching or pushing sideways / over the bar.
