My cousin, as a 17 year old went to see them in Slane in 1992, and went to the gig in 2017 at the same venue. He said 2017 was better, because he never expected to see most of the band together again. I went 2 years ago also. They were excellent, don't write them off.
How am I writing them off?
I have no urge to see them now, I'm really sorry about that.

Fair enough. What I meant to say is you might be pleasantly surprised if you went to see them next year.

Some bands go as far as having multiple versions, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and so on.
usually bands of this calibre are paid a set fee. Its the Promoter / Pruducer who then tries to capitalise on ticket prices in order to make a profit.

Yeah, I'm not paying that for any band... especially when you see the size of those things now.
Those areas have gone from being "fanclub" only areas to being all about how much extra cash the band can earn.
Some bands go as far as having multiple versions, Gold, Diamond, Platinum and so on. Ends up with just a bunch of rich people down at the front because they can afford it, while proper fans end up half a mile back.

For this gig we've gone with the cheap seats in the South Stand.
It didn't feel like that at Metallica. I was down the front and we had proper moshes going on all over... and I don't mean a bit of jumping, or that weird thing the kids do where they just run around in a circle.

Mostly it's about crowd control, and preventing crushes.

According to a GNR forum (was trying to get some idea of ticket prices) I was reading yesterday, an unnamed Live Nation worker, has stated that If demand is there for the Friday, then The stadium has also been reserved for the Saturday and a 2nd show will be announced (Basicly what they did in 2017 at the London Stadium). My thought was the 30th of May, is also Champions league Final day, so if (When!) we get there again, there'll be no beam back to the stadium this year!
Stupid move isn't? Of all the dates they could've picked....

Just another business decision. Obviously they’ll make more money from the concert than a slim possibility of us getting to the CL final again

God forbid they thought about the supporters before money

... any idea how much or the share we make from each of these events?

we must hire the place out and take the proceeds from the food and snacks. didnt we make something like £2m for the CL final screening?

Will be quite interesting to see what acts they book. You’ll obviously sell a lot more beer at a guns n roses concert than little mix.

I dunno. Those Little Mix fans have ripped jeans. Sometimes both knees.

Thanks, Col_M! That's really fantastic! If we manage the projected 17 events each year at 1.5m(conservatively) per, that's around 25m per year, excluding, I think, the cost for stadium hire.

Yes Zig. I'm half way up, just off centre. Great View and don't forget the large screens will be on too. Definately get them.

I'm on the pitch, so well happy.
