Any gossip who they might be?
Talk was it's just Leicester but with the wording of the laws they have a great chance to get away with it again through a loop hole over the wording on losses if you don't spend all 3 seasons in PL.
The athletic did a good piece on how they could get off which would be another big embarrassment for the PL

Leicester, Forest and Everton … and possibly 2 more (allegedly).

Leicester are £12m over their allowed 3 year losses based on the first 2 years alone, so unless the miraculously made £12m profit last year they are screwed, and will have to unpick the law book book once again to work their way away with it.

Everton will no doubt cry that they’ve already been penalised twice for the same crime.

And forest will completely ignore the facts in black and white in their accounts, and claim that they are being penalised for having the gaul to be sitting in the top 4.

100% about forest who are effectively man city lite. They will claim it's a conspiracy by the traditional big 6 for them daring to try and break up the monopoly and the rest of the leagues fans will lap it up

Were Everton not involved in the youth swapping circle with Villa and someone else I think. All swapping youth talent for 20 odd millions to help ease the FFP issues. If they were they might just be ok.

Chelsea, Everton, Villa, Newcastle and Forest were the clubs involved in that circle jerk IIRC.

Will be interesting to see if anything comes out of that. The premier league did write to all clubs and essentially put them on notice that deals would be reviewed and potentially adjusted back to fair market value.

No idea how the PL can even attempt to close this loophole. Unfortunately football will continue to be a rich man's plaything.

Yep. If it was just one or two deals there may be a chance, but when so many clubs are taking the piss it will just become a nightmare for the prem to control.

It would be very hard to argue a players value.

The clubs can spend more money on lawyers to pore through the rules and laws than the PL would ever care to. In North America where most leagues have salary caps it’s not uncommon to have a person or team in the front office whose sole job is to maximize the cap through whatever legal means possible. I’m sure the clubs are doing the same with FFP.
