West Ham considering last-minute deadline-day move for Tottenham's Fernando Llorente
  • Manuel Pellegrini has been steadily rebuilding West Ham squad since arriving
  • The Hammers manager still needs a target man with Andy Carroll out injured
  • Striker is available from Spurs on loan or permanent deal after failing to impress
West Ham are considering a last-minute deadline-day move for Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente.

Manuel Pellegrini has been steadily rebuilding his West Ham squad since arriving at the start of the summer but still needs a target man.

With Andy Carroll injured and Pellegrini offloading flop Jordan Hugill back to the Championship, West Ham have discussed a move for Spaniard Llorente.

The 33-year-old is available from Tottenham on loan or permanent deal after failing to impress manager Mauricio Pochettino in his role as understudy to Harry Kane.

West Ham would have to find in the region of £7million if they wanted to sign Llorente permanently.

I’d rather we didn’t lose Llorente without a replacement tbh, given that we’re losing Son to internationals at a couple of points this season and we have no one else who can play up front if Harry is injured/suspended.

Sadly I agree.

Hoping Llorente stays on the eve of the transfer deadline. We’ve hit a new low folks.

Rather let him go and keep Janssen tbh. At least he provides nuisance factor, whilst FL provides....errr.

Wonder who we want to replace him. Or maybe Janssen will get a chance

That would have put hîm on the same as Kane pre new contract ?

More than any other player.

What do we think lads. True?

He's at the end of his career, played for some big clubs, WC winner etc. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he was on a good wage.

Not suggesting he’s on bread and water or the same as winks...

Just sceptical he was our joint highest paid player.
