I'd personally prefer Neto tbh but if Chiesa is half the price and allows us to potentially bring in Doué, Chiesa and then maybe Eze too then it probably makes more sense financially.

Feel like this would be a rare transfer that makes total sense for both the player and the club.

On Chiesa's part, he gets to play in a system that probably suits him a lot more than what he's just worked with under Allegri at Juve and Spalletti at Italy. Chiesa is a player whose rep has taken a hit following injuries, lower G/A output, and a tough time for Juve overall as a club. But there's obviously immense talent and upside there, and he's still only 26.

Spurs offer a landing ground that matches his ambition - we're not quite at the same rep of a couple years ago in the Poch heyday, but we're comfortably a top 15-20 European side with plenty of resources, and offer the player that same level of upside moving forward. Club doesn't have to overspend on a pretty elite player just entering his prime.

Shared upside. And then you have Juve, who needs the money and messed up the contract situation.

He´s still only 26 (27 in late October). Just the age group of "in the beginning of their prime" we´re currently lacking (26-30), especially up front.

Even if he didn´t look as outstanding in this Euros as he did 3 years ago, he still did look class in a very, very dreary and uninspired Italy. A full season after his bad injury and he looks fit as a fiddle - my guess he´ll only get better over the next seasons.

Able to play in all 3 front positions (but probably best out wide), he also has the tenacious work ethic and rapidness you´d suspect Ange likes.

For anything around €25M (including addons?!) it´s a no-brainer for me.

At the moment Federico Chiesa's priority is to seize an opportunity abroad.

The Italian winger is out of Juventus' future plans and wants to take the time necessary to choose the next step.

The Italian solutions, currently on stand-by.

One thing to perhaps consider in any Neto vs Chiesa debate is the possibility that by going for the cheaper option might free up moves for other targets elsewhere. Does, for example, a potential saving of £30m or so here make a move for Isak possible? Might we move for a preferred option at CB, rather than wondering whether Phillips can step up? It's probably not as straightforward as 'who would you rather - player A or player B?'
Doue Eze and Chiesa?

Makes you wonder did we pull trigger on Werner too early. Chiesa, Neto, Doue would be transformational

I really, really hope that's not the case. I'm not sure I could ever see us brining in those three players to be fair, and I'm also still not greatly happy over bringing Werner back, but can accept it if it means it's the only way to bring in certain other expensive targets.

I do think those sort of incomings is what this squad needs though and where the real overhaul in quality is needed. Werner, Kulusevski, Johnson and Solomon is quite below the required standard IMO. I think really you want one or at most 2 players of that standard, surrounded by a higher level. Not that level making up the majority of the options.

I think it’s to do with Mikey Moore. We need to strengthen but not block his pathway. Maybe have Werner around for a year to help provide additional cover and then let him go and give more more minutes

Moore has barely played any men's football, it would not be fair to have the responsibility of being our first-choice LW on his shoulders.

We need a better starting winger than Werner.

I don't think he's suggesting that Mikey is first choice LW for next season at all.
Just that we don't want to buy two LWers and block his path, so Werner and (say) Doue is a great option as it gives Moore another season to develop and we're not stuck with two players in his spot.

Being part Italian I absolutely love Chiesa.

He’s actually had an ok season tbh, 9 goals & 3 assists in the league, his best return since 2020 when he got 9 goals 9 assists.

He can play in all 3 of the front positions, would suit what Ange wants really well.

Doue, Chiesa and Neto would take us close to being title challengers imo.

If indeed Bayern do pursue Chiesa one would think that bodes well for our own pursuit of Doué. Personally a massive Chiesa fan myself but if we aren't to sign him, perhaps bayern can so some transfer cards fall in favour. (I know Bayern seem to prioritising Simon's which is probably also good news re doué)
