I only go to the Riverside under immense duress lol. It’s next to the river Tees and it’s bloody freezing lol

Ps I’ve been too games at WHL before and watched Spurs become the 1st team to beat Boro in the EPL at their new ground :D
Been several times, either watching Spurs or going with Boro mates. It was alright when it was first opened. I imagine its a bit shabby now.

Never went to Ayresome. They built a school on it or something?

Riverside is a decent stadium for what it costs, circa £30m but it’s basically a shell with little filling. Even in the expensive seats you’re still at a risk of getting hyperthermia lol. I had a season ticket for 8 years or so but went to see the opposition as I don’t support Boro.

Yeah Ayresome is now a housing estate. I know my way around Boro and I work there but I live on the outskirts (less than a minute from the countryside) and avoid the town centre like the plague.

In terms of the match, I expect a 4-7 goal win as Boro are bloody awful. My parents used be season ticket holders but now they get their tickets free... Boro having a shot, never mind scoring is a treat these days lol

Always used to be a bit of a bogey team for us. Won't be the pushover some might think. Fortunately I'm sure Jose knows that.

Remember when their chairman was upset with us going for Downing and said they'd go for Bale......great days

As things stand they’re getting relegated to league one. I know it’s still early season but they play like 8 defensive players, create nothing and leak goals left right and centre. Given their precarious league position they’ll most likely rest their 1st choice players too. Our development team would turn them over.

Boro - keeper, 3 centre backs, 2 defensive wingbacks, 2 shite defensive central midfielders, 2 championship at best attacking midfielders and the clown Assombalonga upfront. The bench generally consists of all kids and their crap number 2 mejias.

Always remember the Berbatov half-scissor kick goal outside the box.

The worst feeling was when they beat us 2-1 at their place on the opening game about 10 years ago.

I was at the game when Berbatov scored said goal. Prior to the goal the Boro fans were saying £10m? He’s shit, then he scored and they went quiet lol
