Liverpool written all over this one. We have no room for another non-HG player without selling first.

Don't think he fits what I believe this team is trying to do.

To me it seems like we've established our core as Kane, Eriksen, and others who are similarly aged plus Lloris (and keepers historically play well beyond the average years of other players) so it seems that we're targeting players who are in the same age area as the rest. I think this is very smart because you need to the team to grow together and most importantly peak together. Too many times we have one or two players who are at their peak and the rest of the team is far behind and we gain no team success from it and end up seeing the player leave because they have no confidence in the team. If we have a whole team peak at around the same time there's a much larger reason to stay as they'll believe they can achieve things and grow together.

Lavezzi just doesn't seem to fit into this. Unless they think he can fit a role to help bring youngsters along as well.

Tenacious and full of ability. The sort of player Poch wants in his system, with ability to boot.

Loan to buy in the summer. Just anyone in an attacking position!

loan till we can get ings in .Why not.

I don't think a loan with an option to buy is a bad move. He's a good player and likes to get stuck in, could be a good partner for Kane, plus can play in the wider positions too if we actually use a 4-3-3. It just means we need to offload a striker first...

Wages, age and him being a bit of a **** makes this about as likely as swapping Ade for Alexis.

So you dont think it's a good idea to have experienced players to mix in with these youngsters?

I'm all for seeing the core of the team grow together but we need some experienced heads around for the big game situations. I think Lavezzi fits exactly with the high energy pressing game that we've adopted this season. We have 2 experienced strikers in Soldado and Adebayor so he would directly replace either of those.

Did you not read the last line of my post?

If they think he can help bring them along great then bring him in. If they don't think he's the mentoring type I would move along.

PSG like several Tottenham players and would be open to negotiation on transfer fee.
they can have Paulinho for Levezzi
Since they like french players, they can have Kaboul and Capoue as well

Getting on a bit, seemingly has attitude problems, presumably has big wages. Seems highly unlikely to me

Seems a bit like PSG want us to buy their version of Bobby?

Dont see the similarity myself, other than both Clubs are probably looking to sell.

They signed him for €30m in Summer 2012, he's struggled for goals, they want rid for a lot less. Quite similar circumstances, except we've had Soldado a shorter amount of time.

His french league stats:

2012/13 - 28 games, 3 goals
2013/14 - 32 games, 9 goals
2014/15 - 24 games, 4 goals

Overall (all comps) 128 games, 28 goals

I really don't see how he'd be good enough when we could be getting a player like Ings for less?
