Tottenham are eyeing up a January move for out-of-favour PSG forward Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Argentine frontman has fallen down the pecking order with the Ligue 1 champions following the arrival of Edison Cavani in the summer.

And with doubts over his World Cup place if he fails to play regular football this season, Lavezzi wants to quit Paris in January – and Spurs are leading a queue of potential suitors.

Last week the metro said we're in for Honda, now we're in for lavezzi. I wouldn't get too excited.

Interesting link if true. Could be just what we need to open up defenses with his dribbling skills and speed. Also quite a creative player and can make something out of nothing.

Question marks would be around adapting to the EPL, consistency and his reliance on his pace, which at his age will start to decline soon, though he has the skill to cope without it, just whether or not he could adapt his game.

We were linked before he went to PSG and if he isn't getting much playing time there I can see us being interested, he's a terrific player, but every time I've seen PSG he's been playing so I'm not so sure he isn't getting the game time they suggest

I reckon Liverpool will end up signing him, or he'll go to Russia.

Has out of favour changed definition?

Last time I checked it meant not in favour...?

He's started almost every game.

I don't think this link is true, but re his pace, he would be the fastest player on our team. He's faster than Lennon, walker and townsend

Exactly, he only missed a few games after picking up a knock. It would make no sense to buy Cavani then immediately sell Lavezzi. They had a fantastic partnership for Napoli and adding Ibra into the mix makes that front three almost unstoppable. Be a great signing but one that will never happen.

Hope it's true as he's a very creative player, and would be like Ade on speed

With Andros doing so well as RWF...Lamela would be ear marked for the LWF spot I think, which is the best position of Lavezzi. And it's a bit too early swap Lamela for any player.

I loved him at Napoli. Only caught a few of his games but always liked watching him play.

Admittedly my interest started because of Fifa (11 I think). Was my favourite player to use on the game, disgustingly good. I'd cream if we got him. Would be an instant shirt purchase for me.
