Everyone except City at home haven't been very good. We should therefore be aiming to win the league. We're 6 points of the top, for a club in turmoil that's pretty bloody amazing.

From here on in I think City will comfortably win the league, by at least 6 points.

If we avoid Juve then we will make the EL final, then who knows, but what a night it would be to play the Old Lady on their own ground in a European final!

If we get to the final, the last team I'd want to play is Juve.

Any other team and we'd likely take over two thirds of the stadium. Against Juve, we'd do well to get one third.

I'd rather play them in the semi. Their place first. Then an epic, deafening European night at the Lane.

Top 4. We have Ade back and we just created more chances for soldado in one game than the whole season combined. I think things are brighter than most think

Expectations before the season: Fighting for 4th, and a good run in all cups.

Expectations now: Finishing 6th, going out of the FA cup against Arsenal and crashing out of the EL against Dnipro after playing only youngster due to the "fact" that our squad of 23 seasoned senior players can't manage two games a week.

We've still got a top 4 squad so we can still make top 4.
I actually believe due to the strength of the top half of the Prem we could come anywhere between 2nd-7th as I think City are head and shoulders above the rest (despite their puzzling away form).

Think we have enough points not to be pulled into the relegation dogfight.

Biggest challenge is not losing too many top players in January.

My thought is that even though Sherwood's clearly not experienced, I don't see why that means we should collectively lower our expectations - that's just admitting that we've made a mistake.

No, if Levy thinks this is the right move, then my expectations stay at top four. If we don't get that, it is on him.

My expectations are quite high.

I believe only Chelsea and Man City have squads as deep as we have and if the other contenders suffer a few key injuries, then by the business end of the season we will be in there pitching for the CL places.

Plus any talk of mid table or relegation is just stupid. We'ré stocked with talent & there's no chance we will fail entirely.

Lowered from the initial hopes I guess, more due to the turmoil and inevitable refocusing than the man in charge. But seriously, anything could happen this season, absolutely anything. Those saying we'll definitely finish outside euro places are no more valid than those optimistically suggesting we'll triumph. There's so many unknown quantities - not just at spurs but throughout the league. Game on, all to play for

Have your expectations changed for this season from what they were at the start?

So yeah: what are you expecting?
I must say, at the start of the season, I didn't expect Everton to get to this stage of the season looking better than us.

I expected at the start of the year for a top 6 finish but was hopeful for top 4. Knew Liverpool and Everton would be strong, not so much Newcastle. I still think we have the 4th best squad and once potential has be converted into performances we will be be in and around a top 4 finish without a doubt.
Only 6 points off top spot, without Spurs hitting top form yet. A very strong run of wins will see us be in an amazing position.

expectations?? it's spurs. always expect the unexpected. I often feel more confident when we're shit and with nothing to lose rather than doing well with everything to lose.

I expect the league table to look like this after 19 games. We should be winning the next fixture despite both teams being our kryptonite in the past.

1. Arsenal 40
2. Man City 39
3. Liverpool 38
4. Chelsea 38
5. Everton 38
6. Tottenham 36
7. Man Utd 34

I honestly believe we can finish anywhere in the top 8, if players start to perform as a team I see us doing better than our first half of the season

That is obscenely close, who'da thought that could potentially be the top 7 after 19 games, utter madness.

I was expecting maybe 6th, but with evidence that AVB's philosophy was starting to take shape. Instead it quickly became apparent that the brand of football he wanted to play was not going to work, along with AVB's increasingly erratic decisions.

Now with Tim in charge I'm really not sure what my expectations are for this season. He's new to management, so a learning curve is to be expected - one that will probably see us drop too many points for a top 4/5 finish. I'm ok with that.

What I really want to see is some progress with our new players. If we get to the end of the season with Eriksen, Lamela, and Soldado in good form, I'll be very optimistic about next season.

In many ways this should be an exciting season now. I doubt it will be successful, but with the way Tim looks to be approaching our set-up, and the players in our squad, we could be in for some great games.

I'm expecting to finish 6th. I think my expectations were the same if not lower just before AVB was fired.

Pretty much the same as the start of the season, could finish anywhere from 4th-8th given the hilarious inconsistency of the league this season.
