Hell of a lot of good sides went out in the last round but there are still some tough ol' teams still in there.

Still, we have scraped and scrambled ourselves into the last 16 despite some relatively abject performances.

So. Can we go all the way? Answers on a postcard. (Or just in this poll would do ;))

Voted No sadly. I just think we aren't creative enough at the moment and really relying on too few people for scoring goals lately. Still a fraction away from being good enough to win imo.

I just don't think we have enough going forward. We are better drilled at the back but a couple of wonder strikes/freakish own goals or just plain switching off once or twice and finding ourselves a couple down would put us in a very hard position to come back from.

That said, if we can get a few goals in the next couple of games and see better performances up front we have a chance, but on current displays, got to be a nah.

YES! or No. Voted yes, since I realised I´m rather tired of being such a cranky pessimist. I still don´t believe we´ll get fourth, and if we do, Arse will somehow be awarded our spot in some incredible, unprecedented application of an obscure rule where the team beaten twice in the last 16, with goals scored with exactly those intervals is to defend it´s honour the next tournament... or something.

Sooo... So much for not being a cranky pessimist.

Ok, there are strong f***ing teams in the EL now, but I do believe we will pick ourselves up after the Lyon games. Lyon were among the toughest teams to meet this competition (my opinion), and thoug Inter certainly are no pushover, I believe we´ll go on to the quarter finals.

Let´s have a look at the remaining teams:
Anji (win) - Chateau Noveau
Pilzen (win) - Fenerbache
Stuttgart - Lazio (win)
Steua - Chelskij (win)
Benfica (win) - Bordeaux
SPURS (win) - Inter
Levante - Rubin (win)
Basel - Zenit (win)

So, we´re clearly among the favourites here, together with Chelskij and Inter. Possible banana peels inclde Zenit, Rubin, Benfica, Lazio and Pilzen.
On the whole, I rather agree with the Danish tele bloke: the winner of SPurs - Inter will be the bookies´favourite to win the enitre thing.

I think we will beat Inter and go all the way.
Inter has 44 pts sitting 5th in the table; AC Milan has 45 pts sitting on third.
I think they need to divert resources for the above so will feature bench players in Europa; this gives us a great opportunity to go through.

People keep talking about our lack of creativity whilst forgetting how solid we are at the back. We could win this thing purely on our defensive qualities and the odd goal here or there. I don't think there is a team in this competition who can possibly hope to dominate us, so as long as we are patient and continue to defend well, we can go all the way.

I have voted yes, if we can beat Milan ( and we will)there is not much left to be afraid of. Already made my arrangements for Amsterdam.

given we haven't actually played well in a cup game for a whole 90 mins in god knows how long I would say its highly unlikely

Just can't see it, if we do keep progressing I think our league form will suffer, too much to soon to ask for IMO.

If you look how badly we've played to get this far, if we actually turn it on we could stroll it.

I think a lot depends on whether the form of Ade picks up, and how long JD is out for. If we can get our strikers firing I believe we're as good a team as any in the Europa. I'd fucking love to win it.

It's a pure cup competition now, so anyone can win it. I think us and Chelsea are the favourites.
