Lucas Bergvall
Dejan Kulusevski
Brennan Johnson - HG-AT

Forwards
Richarlison
Timo Werner
Dominic Solanke - HG-AT
William Lankshear *
Dane Scarlett *
Oyindamola Ajayi *
Luca Williams-Barnett *

* B-list players - no limit

We registered 15 Non-HG players, 6 HG-Association Trained players, and 2 HG-Club Trained players.

We can make 3 changes to the squad before our Knockout round.

So far we have added:

Kinsky - Non-HG Goal keeper - could take the spot of Forster
Danso - (maybe HG - but does not really matter) - could take the spot of Dragusin (assuming long-term injury)

Other options:
Spence - could take the spot of Werner or Odobert
Reguilson - long-shot, but could take the place of Werner or Odobert (instead of Spence) - but seems highly unlikely

If we sign an attacking player - we would have a tough choice to make - between Spence, Kinsky and new attacking player.

Dragusin, Forster, Odobert and Werner out. Spence + Danso + other New guys in.

there’s a case to be made we ought to only register one of the foreign keepers. Austin has been fun and if another injury you can make the emergency switch.

If we brought in a decent attacking player, we should register Danso, Spence and new attacking player and remove Dragusin (assuming he will be out a long time), Odobert and Werner.

Vicario will be back before the next round.

Spence and Danso should be priority. I'd not stress with Kinsky If we sign more outfield players. Just let it be Vicario's and let Kinsky get more league games. We need the squad to be able to handle the game load. And for those who disagree, you were wrong about Forster / Spence as well, just cause you had no idea Austin was ready.

I'd be pretty annoyed (and surprised) if Spence isn't included this time.
Could be tricky of we bring in attacking player. Danso and attacking player very likely to be included, so it's between him and Kinsky. If Vic is ready we might go with Vic and Austin, but reckon it's Spence who won't get in.

There would be no problem had we initially trusted Austin over Forster and Spence was already in squad.

For me it comes down to whether we signing a decent attacking player or not. It was criminal not to select Spence in the first place. For me, should we sign an attacking player I would select:

Spence - Odobert
Danso - Dragusin
New attacker - Bissouma

Reasoning:

With Vicario soon to return and Austin showing he’s more than capable, bringing Kinsky into the Euro squad is a luxury. He distribution is great but needs to work on his shot stopping.

Danso - a given, especially with the injury to Dragusin.

Spence - should be a given as he can play both right and left back, plus as an emergency centre back. On top of that he’s outperformed both Porro and Udogie this season.

Attacking player - I’m hoping they’re a wide forward. As long as Scarlett isn’t loaned out, we’ve sufficient cover albeit a lack of quality in the striker position (injured Solanke aside).

Bissouma - he’s been absolutely woeful and a serious candidate for the chop in the summer. With us bringing in Danso, it should allow Gray to return to midfield giving us options of Sarr, Bentancur, Gray and Bergvall.

Werner - as infuriating as he is, I can’t see Ange dropping a player who’s on huge wages… Levy would have a fit.

Now we have some decisions to make.

I hope that the 3 players we add are:

Spence, Danso and Tel

Take out Werner, Dragusin and Forster (unless we have an undisclosed long-term injury)

That would leave Kinsky out of Europa - but eligible for League games, and Vicario would be the primary keeper in Europa - and maybe FA Cup.

I agrre with this, but Anges use of Werner and Spence respecitively worries me. he will do something different.

I think Ange is done with Werner, and I think Ange is sold on Spence - as a backup RB/LB at a minimum. But we should see soon enough.

I want to agree, but 2 things cross my mind.

Would that leave us with just 2 keepers in the squad? With Vicario still not fully back from his ankle fracture yet.
If Romero's injury is worse than Dragusin's and he is making a fuss to leave, would we maybe remove Romero?

I forgot about Whiteman, so so Forster being removed is fine.

Maybe - on Romero.

Keepers would be Vicario, Austin, Whiteman - if we removed Forster and did not add Kinsky. I suspect, but obviously don't know, that Austin has passed Forster to be the 3rd choice keeper.

But, if we can only make 3 changes - Spence seems like a no-brainer, given his ability to cover every spot in the back line. Danso - also obvious replacement as a CB for Dragusin.

The 3rd choice then is Tel - adding an attacking option, or Kinsky, adding a back-up keeper (or starting keeper if you prefer, but making Vicario the back-up)

My choice would be Tel adds more than leaving Kinsky out subtracts from the overall squad.

Broadly agree with you @Bluto Blutarsky and I think the 3 definites are;

In;
Tel
Spence
Danso

Out;
Forster
Werner
Dragusin

The last option really is going to be;

In;
Kinsky

Out;
Odobert (if unlikely to be fit for another couple of months)

I think we can only make 3 changes though.

So, I agree with the 3 definites.

And, Kinsky just misses out due to the numbers - similar to Spence missing out back in August.

Spence, Danso, Tel should be added

Kinsky will prob not be great about it but he can be the PL keeper and Vicario the cup keeper

Think that would work nicely
