But not very often. 15th/16th to relegated is much more common. It would be insane to think we’re too good for that to happen to us.
It wouldn't be insane to think that at all, in fact any sane person would think it.
It might be insane to bet your house on it I'll give you that.😊

Are these the same supposedly sane people who, at the start of last season...
No, I can't be arsed, some people just can't be helped.

No these are the people who are sane enough to know we are too good to go down. They may not think we are good enough to make top 4 but however bad you might think we are it is not insanity to think we are too good to go down, there's a heep of evidence to support that.

None of that evidence includes a manger like Ange. I think a lot of people (idiots might be a better word) are assuming his contribution can't be as bad again, but actually you'd need an coherent argument to persuade me why it wouldn't be exactly the same again. Yours is nothing like a coherent argument.

My argument is perfectly coherent because I'm arguing that believing we are too good to go down does not make you insane however much you think it's incorrect.
If you are now going to introduce another topic to discuss go ahead but that's not a topic I've made any argument on so you can't say my argument on it is incoherent. If you want to start that new argument go ahead, I'm not joining in though.

Our form over the last three months sees us relegated under Leicester. I don't see it changing next year in the league unfortunately. Love the guy and this cup win would be a great way to leave a legacy at rte club.

Sorry mate but I really don't know how you don't see it changing, next season we are extremely unlikely to suffer the same level of injuries. Gray, Bergval, Odobert and Tel won't all be teenage newbies and along with Danso and Solanke will be starting a second season, we will have additions to the squad and we'll be taking the league seriously.
To me it is a certainty that we'll do better.

maybe he went to watch spurs Sunday ?

it has killed me

even though I know the players where on a bender from Wednesday to Saturday morning I still feel it was a horrific watch and it brought me down to earth the whole seasons a side from cups has been shit.

when the away fans sing you should have been relegated and the whole stadium (both sets of fans) pause in agreement it’s bad times 38 points

of course the singing afterwards was comical, but when the away fans sing you should have been relegated and you know they’re right it’s bad times

Whether we feel like that about this season or not I don't see it being the same next season for the reasons I gave.

you have valid points, you can argue it both ways I just feel, if we have a bad patch the atmosphere will get toxic fast

We were in a relegation fight the same way Chelsea and Newcastle were in a tile race.

The issue behind the scenes from my understanding is that DL wanted us further up the league and AP prioritised winning a trophy. He feels that was the way to change the mentality at the club and more importantly around the club.

If he goes on to win the Super Cup and then has us playing against the South American champions the perception of Spurs globally changes overnight. That does not happen in 11th place or even in the top four.

I have no doubts things will improve. We do not have a relegation squad (nor do Man United). This will be borne out with some tweaks for next season. Don't discount an overhaul in the medical and fitness staff having an impact. Marginal gains.

Ange has always been a ruthless manager so if we see a Richy, Biss, or Son, depart you know that next season will be different.
