The gks taking pens in the Milan v. Rio ave match was nuts. Shame Milan won
Agree but think I would put Milan above Hoffenheim, with Zlatan leading that team they are a different beastBest case I'd say is Liege, Rangers or Molde and Dundalk. Both for quality of teams and travel reasons.
Worst case is definitely Sociedad, Hoffenheim, Lille.
Oh absolutely, my post was based on Milan not going through when they were losing in the 115th minute.Agree but think I would put Milan above Hoffenheim, with Zlatan leading that team they are a different beast
First of all they were one brain fart away from going through 2-1 AET.Milan through, they were extremely lucky. Rio Ave had one penalty crash against a post, fly across the goal and hit the other post and out. So close to going through themselves.
This makes things a bit easier...
Five substitutes
From this stage onwards, teams will be permitted to field up to five substitutes in a Europa League match and name 12 substitutes on the bench. For knockout matches, a sixth substitution can also be made during extra time.
Each team may use a maximum of three stoppages in play to make substitutions – one additional stoppage in extra-time can be used. Substitutions made during half-time, between the end of normal playing time and extra-time, and at half-time during extra-time do not reduce the number of stoppages in play that can be used.
