I've been firmly in the Levy/Enic in camp but the last month has pushed me in the other direction even after all the good theyve done for the club.

No replacements for injured players. Zero depth. Zero coherence or semblance of any plan.

They need to put the money up this summer of go.

just wondering when was the last time we played in the top european competition four straight years. to read this board you'd think we had Real Madrid's pedigree until Levy pissed it away.

I’m still torn, on one hand we absolutely have been left short in terms of the squad and that falls on the board and Levy.

On the other hand, they helped build a team that was good enough to win at least a domestic trophy and Poch had to shoulder the blame for not doing that.

The fact is that squad is now past it’s best and we’re having to start again with another rebuilding job and we’re going to have to do that the same way as before because we cannot spunk hundreds of millions!

ENIC will never ever change their way they run the club! Let us just accept that please. I can’t see it in my lifetime

certainly feels like it won’t ever change. Unless they clear off.

I do get the feeling that with all the investment they are putting into the stadium and surrounding area that they are building it up to sell. Knowing they are an investment company maybe once they see the club hit the peak in valuation they would sell.

just an opinion though

Jose is going to want more and more in the summer, I don't see Levy giving him what he wants and I can see this ending much sooner than many originally thought.

Yes that part was the main concern but there were other worrying parts as well. And whilst Levy is not a moron in a business sense he doesn’t really have a clue on the football side which is why we’ve won fuck all under ENIC and keep taking one step forwards then two back.

Agree Ndomble should’ve been better but that’s yet another mistake from the club in recruitment, we could’ve spent half of the £65mil on Grealish who would’ve easily come in and done a great job for us and going into the season with no back up striker was absolute negligence of the highest order and we are paying for it now.
Ok @Lighty64 so which parts are you disagreeing with?
Do you think Levy has a clue about football and football strategy? Please god tell me you don’t think that?
Do you not also think if Levy has actually just stumped up the cash we’d have got Grealish?
Do you not think going into the season with no back up striker was not negligence? What exactly is there here that you disagree with or are you just neg repping my perfectly valid pots again for no reason?

I wish mate but no chance levy sacks Jose after 6 months given the amount we’d need to pay him off to leave.

When you cast a cold eye over all that's happened this season, and even leading up to it at the back end of last season, you cant do anything other than blame Levy and the board for this absolute shambles. They set the tone and the ambition from the top down.

The underinvestement in the squad during those 2 transfer windows when we bought no one, the contradiction of pretending we're a 'big' club because we have a shiny new stadium, or a 'big' name manager, and fluked our way to a champions league final, and yet acting like a lower mid table club in the transfer market, the breathtaking arrogance to not heed your own manager's words of warning about overhauling the squad, and then sack him when he had the temerity to be upset because he wasnt fully backed precisely when he needed to be.

When Levy eventually leaves this club, his legacy will be that he built the best stadium in the world and filled it with a group of players that are bang average at best.

He wont change, hes shown no sign of changing, so nothing will change. He'll hire, fire, spend a bit here, not spend a bit there when it's really needed, and ultimately make us known for being the football club that should have acheived so much, yet fulfilled so little.

because Levy never played in any of the matches we lost

Grealish wasn't for Sale in the summer he was always going to stay at Villa once promoted

anyway you've another 9k+ post to disagree with now as you didn't like those red crosses, and I thought you was a grown up :ROFLMAO:

I disagree, no one can turn a dressing room sour as quickly as Jose can, if the wheels start coming off early and players like Son and Kane start kicking up a fuss, he'll be gone.

I cant see him walking away from 30 million pounds either.

He never walks, he wants the pay off.

There's no better explanation of what 'false economy' means than this last couple of seasons at Spurs.

Yep needs to go. Did unbelievable work on the stadium front no denying that.

But on the football side of things he has let us the fans & previous managers/current one down massively and he won't change. He shouldn't be anywhere near the football side of the club.
