So outside of one season by Leicester we are the only club without the mega riches to achieve top four but that has nothing to do with the owners or how the club is run?

Don't mind someone thinking it is time for a change but giving all the credit to the managers and none to the owners is just pure nonsense.
I mean, Poch got quite a bit out of this team. Now lets hope Mourinho can get more with a few improvements in January & the summer. God knows a DM, LB, RB and CB are needed. Particularly fullbacks and DM.

Amazes me people completely ignore ENIC put £350-400m cash into the stadium. That was the call they made to prioritise the stadium over transfers. Which long term will be massively beneficial. Liverpool are building a £60m stand and not even paying cash for it. Simple facts are without the new infrastructure Mourinho wouldn’t have come and probably Ndombele. It’s really impossible to judge ENIC on the pitch because for the last 10 years the stadium was the priority. You can only really judge them on the pitch in the next 10 years if still here. Off the pitch it’s impossible to see what more they could have done. Off the pitch they’ve out done the 5 biggest clubs in the land and actually embarrassed one ot two of them so they are scrambling around to improve their own infrastructure.

If all ENIC are interested in is the value of the club why would they not want to push on? It's the only thing that can significantly increase their potential profit now.

Because pushing on requires spending lots of money

Probably need at least 200-300m to at least challenge for the title

And even that might not be enough

Better play safe and keep the money in the bank

This is all following the familiar pattern...........

Spurs and positive results or news = ENIC and Levy are geniuses

Spurs and its negative = Levy out, he's a ****

There was actually a point when Pochettino had been sacked that one poster was writing a post slagging Levy to fuck and the Mourinho announcement came and right there, mid-post, without breaking stride it became Levy is the colonel again :D

It was a most Neapolitan ice cream of a post :hungry:

No set of club accounts going all the way back to 2006 show significant amounts of money being sat on. The most recently published (2018) do show £100m cash in the bank but I imagine that would have been stadium build related and probably spent soon after the accounting period ended.

There is no evidence in the accounts to suggest that ENIC intend to either hoard money within the club or start siphoning money off. What there is plenty of evidence of is that all money THFC generates is available for THFC to spend. Partly due to ENIC's good work, the club now generates much more money than in the past and previous behaviour suggests that money will be used on the team.

this is such a stupid post, they haven't been banking the money, the 10years the stadium was being built that money was spent on the stadium. if they had spent silly during any of those windows, we would be a lot more in debt than we are, might have not got such good terms on the loans which would prevent us spending now. the difference in now is we can offer players the wages, yet before we couldn't.

I was being sarcastic, replying to sausage when he said "Much like the two windows without a signing, it gets quoted as longer and longer everytime someone splashes hyperbole on it."
I see, hadn’t picked up on the context so thought I would ask.

And exactly how much did Leicester invest to win the title in 2015/6?

What’s the going rate on a soul? Because a deal with the devil is the only explanation I can think of for that title.

All I can say is I’m glad we aren’t in limbo like a few other clubs. We’ve reignited our season and it’s fun again.
